Wally world for the inexpensive white velcro style tennie that I prefer, specialty store or shoe truck for the safety shoes.

I prefer Red Wing work boots myself. They last a LONG time.

I have a great pair of Red Wing's that live in the truck full time and are my safety shoes. But when I am just driving, I like a lite weight white velcro fastened tennis shoe.

I go through shoes like you would not believe. Womens tennis shoes don't fit my feet right and makes my back hurt. Therefore, I go and buy mens tennis shoes and they seem to last alot longer too.

Re: Where do you buy your shoes? - One More Student Question

Used to buy shoes around town never was satisfied with choices and travel to and from shop.

Went online and did some search for what I like and now I have a boot I paid about 70 dollars for that I am sure would be over 100 in shop because of its height.

Work shoes.....

For work, I go with Wal-mart. Usually those Cat boots. Steel-toed if you drive trucks, especially if you're a flat-bedder.

For just driving, the sneakers are fine.

Hiking boots are good for driving rigs as well. I got a nice pair on sale at Cabela's about 10 years ago. They lasted 5 years on the road. Cabela's has all kinds of good shoes, some of which are inexpensive. Go to their website if you wanna check 'em out.

Yeah I drive a Swift truck
And that means one thing
It means she's slow
It's a typical company truck
It's just all show and no go

I'm gettin' passed by Yella
And even Overnite
I'm gettin' passed by ever' body in sight
46 days on the road
And I'm not gettin' home tonight

No, my hometown's nowhere in sight
And if you think I'm pissed off
You're right
46 days on the road
And I'm not gettin' home tonight

Love pissing off those trucking company insiders.

Re: Where do you buy your shoes? - One More Student Question

I bought a pair of slip on shoes from Cabelas online. They have a hiking lug kind of bottom. Very light. I wear them all the time and have had them for 4 or 5 years now. Cabelas has lots of nice shoes and boots
