Just started taking Adderall for my A.D.D. problem. The presribed medicine is a narcotic which says stimulant on the label. Should I be taking this, or is it okay since it is prescribed by a Doctor. Gotta new job physical to take and I don't want to tell them I am taking something to help me not be stupid. But if I don't disclose information, will this medicine come up on the urine test?

I dont think you can have a CDL License anymore if you are taking this. ask FMCSA or a company if not ask your doctor for alternative
The Challenger Thanks this. -
I checked. They can't hold anything against me. Not that I want to be on anything nor have to, but may want to. If I didn't know better I would think you got something against me cause of my disability. I'm just trying to better myself...

To be honest, I think just HAVING ADHD should disqualify you from driving. There's enough distractions out on the road to begin with, having someone with a physiologically shorter attention span is asking for trouble.
And if you think that's discrimination, take a seat over there with all the folks who have high blood pressure, sleep apnea, etc., who are discriminated against because of their conditions every time they apply for a driving job. It's not about being jerks, it's about keeping you, your truck, your freight, and the motoring public safe. Period.
If you can't understand that, please seek employment elsewhere. -

Dude we are trying to help you, you came here looking for advice don't get all pissy when you get it or even get bad news.
There are alot of rules out there in this world of truck driving be through and read them all, and be honest with the company you are trying to work for becuase if your not and they find out they can fire you for lying and not disclosing info.
Then what if you have an accident and kill someone due to your medicine and if you didn't disclose you will be getting nailed to the cross and looking at a jail cell for at least 5 years.
Like I said not sure of all the rules but on certain types of medication you are disqualified form driving a CMV. Look in to it. Dont take your doctors word for it contact FMCSA and ask them. Just dont give them your name just ask them a question
