I think this is a slick idea. I had an app way back on my BB that alerted you where Red Lights Cameras and that were. Saved me from a few tickets.

Also I find it funny with the people that are going on with "That it's illegal". OBVIOUSLY. LOL. I bet 95% of us would be using it, including the ones that are saying its illegal. Lol you most likely were commenting on this thread while you were driving. ;).

The concept or idea is great. Problem is theory, looks good on paper, but really doesn't work in reality. They close and open coops on a whim. For example, yesterday on I-49, Harrisonville, MO, SB coop was closed. I had to unload (end-dump), at the MODOT located just 3 miles from there. When I returned, NB on I-49, just 16 mins later, the SB coop was opened, and several trucks in line.

Just seems like a toy to play with, something we really don't need to be doing while driving.

Why...? There are signs that indicate whether a coop is open or closed, there's the CB, it's illegal to even attempt to avoid one, and anyone who would accept the word of unknown persons shouldn't be behind the wheel of a truck, and real drivers fear only the bears that might run out in front of them.

Where did you get the idea the instruments and the R mirror are distractions...? It seems to be you are purporting to know that which you have no method of learning.

CoopsOpen now has over 11,000 users. And its illegal to not pull in to an open scale, but it's completely legal to drive around scales, or wait at a rest area until it closes to go past it. Scales are like taxes, avoidance is NOT illegal, evasion is. Going around is avoidance.

Try that logic in Connecticut sometime. I've heard stories of guy back-roading being escorted right back to the scale house. And given the special inspection. You know, a Level 12. Top Secret.
