I've almost eliminated caffeine from my diet. Only time I'll have it is when a place doesn't have any decaf made.

So, why would I want to put something in my body that will (allegedly) do what caffeine will do?

I'm at the age now where doing something to "make the most of the moment" isn't worth it in the long run.

My son opened a Monster in the car one day....I thought he was drinking turpentine from the smell of it....(no, not aroma. Smell.)

But if you still have say 3hrs of drive time left to reach your 14 hrs, a little energy boost could be useful!!

I will take one once in awhile. You have to time it just right. Take it too late and you are too tired to drive and too awake to sleep. Sometimes they just don't work. I also think everyone is different in how it works for them.

5-hour ENERGY® is a registered trademark. Its nothing more than vitamins and caffeine and other substances we already eat in meats, vegetables fruits etc...The amount of caffeine is the equivalent to a cup of coffee. Usually meaning about 200mgs.

If money isnt an issue and you like the taste of this garbage then cheers. Otherwise stick to coffee and **gasp**take your vitamins and eat a balanced diet **gasp**...5-hour ENERGY"""®""" is not a miracle drug that will keep you wired awake for 5 hours straight like meth or everyone would be hooked on this stuff. Its a better alternative for "Monster" or Rockstar" as it doesnt contain sugar.

Plus lets be real. Caffeine is a central nervous system stimulant. Your body will quickly build a tolerance to it. Then your be an addict like the rest of us that just consume the stuff just to feel normal.

Id also be cautious about how many of those id drink though. Each little bottle contains 8333% of b12 and 2000% b6. Too much of anything is bad.

google "5-hour energy Ingredients" and see for your self.

Eat well and sleep well. Its the only way. No matter how much we all hate that fact.

Ive pretty much tried most of anything. Caffeine pills, Red Bull, Rockstar, 5 hour energy etc....IMO nothing special about 5hour energy. The effects for me didnt last any longer than any of those other drinks. My preference other than coffee and espresso and espresso based drinks is guarana pills and teas. I have green tea pills with close to 200mg of caffeine in each dose.

High concentration of Caffeine. Same as taking a No-Doze.
