Saw this in another forum and realized I don't know for sure how you fuel both tanks. So instead of just making a mess of trying to explain what I mean, I'll just ask. How does the fuel get into the passenger side tank when the pump is on the driver's side?
Thanks.

you go to a truckstop where they have 2 hoses. one on each side of lane. put driverside hose in that tank and put passengerside hose in that side tank. don't know what so hard to understand. lol

Hey Lexmark-How are you?If you have never seen it,i can understand why the question. The bigger truckstops have two pumps. The primary one that looks like the pumps at the gas station then a satalite pump on the other side.Turn on the primary unit then the satalite. Some older, smaller stations have one pump with a long hose.Fill up one side,i put the hose behind the cab of the truck then fill up the other side.I hope this helps.Take care.Brian

lexmark Thanks this. -
Unless your in Massachusetts where you have to stand and hold it per state law. No clip to leave it on. Fill one side, then the other.

I am suspossed to call the DEC whenever 2 or more gallons are spilled. -
I find that an aluminum soda can works just fine to defeat the lack of a hold open latch. Don't see any changes on the horizon. Fuel islands are equipped to isolate a pretty big spill( 50+ gallons) Rarely happens, everything is on camera and the schmuck who spills it is going to pay for the clean up costs...
DoneYourWay and CondoCruiser Thank this. -
Just out of curiosity, how much would a clean up like that cost the poor schmuck? -
At the truck shop I used to work at,any dispenser or nozzle that didn't have a catch on the lever to hold it open got a ziptie set up a lil loose so you could slid it on and off, didn't have to stand there holding it. The safety director or manager would come through every now and then, remove them, and reprimand us all. Next day the zipties would be back.

I remember a thing called the "Pump Pal" or something like that. Mid 1980's. Heavy plastic. Held the handle on full to the tank. Never got one though. I Never let them fuel my truck. They drip fuel on my polished tanks, Makes me real upset.
