I suppose I should explain why I am interested in this information. Basically it will assist me in figuring out what will be the best use of my time - it will answer questions like, "should I spend my time creating an app for a smartphone, or write an article about tips for drivers?" or "Should I spend time updating Twitter or Pinterest?" Things like, "Would it be a good use of my time creating a contest for pictures from drivers or should I start a blog with recipes that are useful otr?"

I have been very passionate about education on health and fitness for drivers due to the extreme drop in life expectancy for drivers from the general population (something like 11 year difference). I am looking to find the best places to get the message across. I don't want to invade people's inbox, but I want to be able to get the information to people who want it. Rest easy that replying to this survey via post, PM, nor email will not put you on any list, will not get you spam, and that you're not having to go to another site nor sign up for anything. I am simply interested in the information from the specific demographic of people I want to reach.

So in short, I am just looking to find the best place to focus my effort.

    1. What type of radio stations (sports radio, music +type, comedy, talk radio, satellite or normal) do you listen to?
Talk radio... or whatever is on my MP3 player

    2. What sports do you or your family play/watch/enjoy?
    Football/basketball

    3. What type of websites (sports, weather, news, special interest, hobby, social media) do you visit?
Weather.com, TTR, Ingress (google location based GPS game), ahem... adult oriented sites (yeah, I said it)

    4. What social media sites do you use (facebook, pinterest, instagram, twitter, linkedin, youtube, etc)?
    Facebook, G+, YouTube, TTR

    5. Do you have a smart phone? If so, what apps do you use?
Droid DNA; I use Google Maps, Ingress, some games to kill time when I am waiting on a load, Google Navigation app (lifesaver), online banking apps to remind me how broke I am

    6. What do you use your phone for (apps, internet, phone calls, texting, etc)?
Mostly to stay in touch with my dispatcher/family/friends. If i had to rank my usage, it would be this:

    40% Internet use
    30% texting (when not driving)
20% Playing games to kill time
10% talking (with headset when I am driving)

    Hope this helps.

I enjoy this great forum! I have Sirius & , way more stereo than any person can use, & it looks like I'm about out of room for radios. Other items I keep to myself. Don't care for "social networking".I Like weather on my laptop. I Never answer my cell phone when I'm driving. My people know that. If it's important the tone changes. I find a rest stop, or a safe place to stop.

    1. I use XM/Sirius and normally listen to comedy, 80's and 90's music.

    2. Watch and listen to baseball and football

    3. Web site I use a lot: NOAA, The Weather Channel, 3 different web sites of news station from my home town, The Truckers Report, U.S. D.O.T., and the company's web site.

    4. Only Facebook and Youtube

    5. Yes, just the maps.

    6. Mostly texting (only when not driving), then to surf the net, followed by talking, and I hardly ever use any of the apps.

I try not to. They typically suck. If for a lack of anything else, I'll try to find a classic Rock station. But, more often than not, I'll just use my iPod.

Don't really get into sports, but I like a lot of outdoor activities. Shooting the occasional game of pool or throwing some shoes is about as close as I get to competitive sports anymore, but that doesn't mean I sit on my ### all day. I'll go out, hike, ride a bike, walk around and take photos, whatever... I'm indifferent about sports, but care even less for being cooped up.

A few forums, whether they be about trucking, working on cars, bands/music styles I'm interested in, or anything else where I find an interest in communicating with like-minded people.

Facebook, Tumblr, Youtube. I have a Twitter account, but never post anything on it. I still have a Myspace page, as well... I think. Haven't been there in years.

Yes. Apps... I have The Weather Channel, Facebook, Tumblr, Twitter (but I never use it), a scientific calculator app, Ebay, Amazon, Flickr, CamCard, and Google Earth (which has come in handy in the past in helping me figure out how to get to a customer's yard).

I like to talk on it, but people seem to have forgotten that you can do that! I hate text messaging. But I do it if I have to. I use it for a lot. Internet, if I need it right then and there. A camera, when I don't have my DSLR handy. Whatever I see fit to do with it, basically.
