    Hi All,

My first post here, so thanks for having me. I am a musician who will be releasing a record soon, and I wrote a lot of the music with truckers on my mind. I come from a family of them (all elderly now, and long retired) so the music speaks somewhat of my tribute to them. Especially my uncle who got me into playing when I was a kid.

So I was initially thinking that I'd get some CD's up in the flying J's, and Dixie truckstops...but from what I'm reading here nobody's listening to CD's much. So I have another idea, and I would like to see if it sets with you all. What if I were to offer up the music free for download to all truckers with a valid cdl..and if I did, what would be the best avenue to reach you all? This forum perhaps? I don't care much about making money off this, I sincerely just want to get the music in the hands of the people I wrote it for, in hopes they'll like it and maybe spread the word? I tried to attach a sample, the site won't let me add mp3's, so if you'd like a listen, PM me and I'll send you an mp3... Any thoughts are much appreciated!

Ha, that's valid enough, and something I'd never thought of. Thanks for the reply, I sincerely appreciate it!

Set up a website. Put a link to the website on one of your posts. Make it so the average trucker can download the mp3 to his smartphone and you are on your way to become a big country star. Put a couple of videos of you performing the music on You Tube with the links also.
    Good luck

I can't drive without XM myself. I can listen to Mojo Nixon, then some hard rock or the Ramones or 90's music when I want and on CNBC, I can check some stock numbers...and most of all I listen to all those drivers asking about tires from that Kevin guy, so CD's are not found in my truck, sorry.

Man, someone tries to do a good thing these days and gets one post with actual good advice. So sad..

I personally agree with Studebaker Hawk but, you can't advertise here. Keep thinking brother, when you can PM send me one and I will check it out. I have a pretty good ear for music. Best of luck to you and, I mean that sincerely..
