I am new to trucking and understand that it is unlikely that a full shower every day isn't likely. A question for experienced truckers is what is average between showers? I am not trying to be funny

There truly no reason not to take a shower every day, other than not wanting to pay for a shower when not having a free one on a rewards card, drivers must take a 10 hour break after their 14 hour clock runs out

You could take a shower everyday. If you are willin to cut some of your own work time. But sometimes you'll get stuck at a customer or have do take a 10 at a rest stop.

I was with a company briefly and in the 5 days i was with the trainer no shower. Even though we could have drove 2 or 3 miles away to a truck stop while we were waiting for our load he just kept ignoring my requests to shower. I would have walked if it wasnt 17 degrees out. Oh well, that company was a joke anyways

Too many showers will dry out your scalp and skin and give you hairy palms

When I was running long-haul reefer, I would shower every morning except in rare cases it just can't happen (maybe 3-4 days a month). There are a lot of reasons to keep you from showering at a specific time, but few days when you should not be able to shower once a day if you really want to. Flatbed days it was a little different but generally speaking rarely missed a day.

I must shower in the morning. I feel like crap until I've had a shower, plus I avoid the longer shower lines of late afternoons and early evenings. The point is, there is hardly any good reason a driver can not grab a shower once a day, if they want to. I can't sleep a full 10 hours, so there's always time to do other stuff
