this thread was started over 1 year ago (and ended in may 2009), why someone trudged it up is beyond me(2 days ago, posting # eighteen)......but given the "premise" of winning the lottery, it would be a LOSING proposition to buy such a vehicle, IH, Mack, Petercar, K-Whopper, whatever. vehicles LOSE value at an alarming rate. there would NEVER be any guarantee a lottery winner would even still survive the trucking industry just because one has the "new" finances. one STILL NEEDS business sense and an education lest one go broke sooner than one expected. it would be best to invest such "lottery" winnings in the now depressed real estate market, as this will always rebound and appreciate in value over ANY motor vehicle.

frankly, if i were to ever hit the lottery........?? i'll do what so many others do......quit my job, pay off my bills, buy a new (smaller) home.......and "work" out at a gym..........screw "work" as we know it to be......the rat race can kiss my arse........!!!!!:biggrin_25522:

Well I have a bike but another reason I have a wallet chain is so I don't lose my wallet on or off the bike.
Not sure how many times it's saved me, many times just walking off from the counter at a store and forgot to put it in my pocket because I was a tired zombie trucker in need of some rest.
Many years ago I lost a wallet in a phone booth that had $500 in it, been using a chain ever since and haven't lost another one yet.

To Each there own I say , whatever floats your boat , I have a chain on my wallet , too keep my wallet with me , how many times over the road has it fallin out , or partially fallen out of my pocket, jump out of the truck , and 2 steps there's my wallet swinging from the chain , Besides on the bike (yup Harley) there are many times it has saved me there also . Lonestar , got one of those , I have driven pete's , macks , K-W and WS , freights too.... Guess what they all have there own issues , you only realize it ben a great truck , when it's nearing the end of it's life. I'm in a 2010 Lonestar (Harley Edition) I love it , it's very quiet , comfortable , and what else is there to say 565 cummins 18 spd 244" wb , 3:73 super 40's. I pulled tridums and super "b"'s bulk tankers. My biggest complaint, would be the emissions on the engine 4 times in for warrenty work. I keep it well maintained it serves me well , also i'm averaging 8.5 to 9.5 MPG. that's round trip !! These trucks are fuel efficient by design, isn't about making money ?? I'm all about a classic looking truck , but comfort to me and saving fuel is top of my list. Oh and I also do not need to squeeze into my bunk !!!!! :biggrin_2554:
