Plant hauling was Ok
I have loaded plant loads with over 35 drops, and as many as 8 pick-ups around Homestead.. You had 7 days to unload, receivers [ K-Mart garden centers ], are usually real good about receiving.
There was very good money in hauling plants, but you needed a decked reefer, and be hooked up with the right broker.

LOL...
Been there, done that. That should tell people how hard it is to get freight out of Florida. When people are willing to take 4 days to do a 500 mile run that pays $800.
BTW, I lived in Lawrence KS, I pulled most of the junk mobile homes out of Gaslight Village MHP to make room for Home Depot. Do I know you? I had a couple of red COE Peterbilt toters back then.

Don't think I've met you toter. The MCT terminal in Sanford FL. would put together loads. We would have a finished load, ready to go, Tuesday at 5pm. Avg 20 stops. Trailer had to be empty up in KC by Thursday night, in order to to get the regular reload on Fri afternoon, back to Fl.

check with Costa farms. They do flowers and other types of plants from South Florida. I know All-Star trucking in Augusta was running for them. Those guys did very well. I don't know who is running for them now though...

serves me right. i broke that rule - do not post after 0400am unless you have had 10 hours off duty from truckers report, 6 of which are actual sleep.
