I have been a concrete mixer driver for the last 4 years. How hard is it to go to semi? I have a Class A Drivers license. :biggrin_2556:

two different things. I did it the other way. the hard part is gonna be getting hired. they will want you to trainer for over the road as they don't consider mixers trucks. you will probably have to go threw one of the mills to get started. IMO and from what I have experienced my mixer time has been dead time

can't say it would have been beneficial other than to teach you how to shift. The three years I drove ready mix were pretty much nothing like OTR.

    What and where?

The shifting is the same (Eaton 9 speed). Just learning the trailer is all. You'll do fine.
