im trying to get a feel for prices per mile paid as i have been pulling containers all my life i always been paid a flat rate per area.
i just finished a weeks worth of work dry van within FL at $1.35 pm my truck wastes to much diesel to make any profit from this rate, to my understanding flatbeds and REEFER pay more per mile. Is that true? If so whats the reason being that they do pay more?
Im trying to find work down here in miami with trailers but its seems to be a hit or miss situation. Is anyone familiar with any Co.'s needing Owner operators to work within the state? i dont have to base out of miami maybe a little bit more north from me like central fl.
