Who is the best? Best equipment, truck and trailer. Best pay? Best loads?

If would take no less than 65cpm (Hub Miles) for me to deal with all the bs involved in being a company reefer driver. Anything less and you are your own worse enemy ......

Marten Transport has been good to me so far. They run mostly regional but also have OTR solos and teams. The trailers are generally in fair to good condition. I'm home every other weekend and usually run about 2500mi/week or more. The trucks are maintained well for the most part although starting out you'll get an older one (2010-11 Pete 387, KW 660, Freightliner Cascadia) but they move you into newer equipment fairly quickly.
I've had no issues at all and they keep me rolling.

I'm thinking you might be able to find a smaller company that has good benefits and good pay. It would sure beat working for any of the huge ones. I don't mean a guy who has 3 trucks, but one who is large enough to have his own shop at his yard, and yet small enough that he knows all his drivers.

Nothing against the guy who has 3 trucks, but he likely won't have any benefits available.
