Hey guys...i have read a bunch of posts and ive got a few questions...especially when loading pears or apples...

first off i get that you wanna try to stay under 4000 lbs per row of standard size pallets...what is the reason to being under 22,000 before the half way mark?

also, i had a load of apples last week and we loaded single double single then double back...i was good on weight but my drives were just a few hundred over with full tanks why couldn't it had been loaded single, single , then double all the way back...wouldn't that give me some more room to work with on the drives...

two singles in a row will fall over if you don't put air bags to hold them upright... single double single double pressed together stops the single from falling over.

Ohh...right..let's say we did single single then double with the airbags wouldn't that give a little more room on the drives to cover the fuel

When you weigh at a Cat scale do so right before you fuel, or atleast try. Those couple/few hundred pounds of fuel will burn off as you go...

You can do single single .... I have done it before ... drive careful ...

If you have 20 pallets you could also do 1-2-1-2-1-2-2-2-2-2-1-2 ... this will leave 2 skid spots at the back. I will load it this way sometimes to load the trailer axles right up to 34,000 then I don't have to worry so much about the fuel weight up front. It works as long as you can stay legal with your bridge laws .. I wouldn't load something this way if I went to the nazi state that requires 40' KPRA ...

If you go too light on the drives (i.e: single, single, double back), you may be forced to stretch your trailer tandems too far to meet the bridge laws of some states---so it depends on where the load goes.
