Just curious to see what everyone thinks the best NEW reefer is? The new THERMO Kings or the new 7300 carriers?

I like TK, they are quieter and run smoother.

Get the TK more places to get it repaired or serviced

TK seems to be more reliable and they do have service centers all over if/when you do hit a problem.

I've been pulling a trailer with a TK. They are much quieter than a comparable Carrier.

I don't have a new one but I like Carrier better, at least the older ones. I had an SB210, I thought it was a piece of junk. Had a lot of problems with it. I've had 2 Carriers and not much trouble out of either.

No, I'll agree that my Carrier units are louder but not that much. It's probably more a question of Ford vs Chevy. I personally like Carrier but other guys like TK. I don't know anything about the new units. I've had two Ultima Carriers and the one TK SB210. I had really bad luck with the TK. Had to have joints on the refrigeration lines soldered back together several times. They tried to sell me a new condenser because that was where the problems were, cracked joints. I just had it patched. Other misc problems with the TK. Carrier units have been solid and seem to keep running even with minor problems so you can get the load delivered and then get it fixed.

I noticed that ThermoKings are good for a solid temperature, and Carriers are good for a range other than that i've never noticed a difference
