Aren't the religious people always saying absence of proof doesn't mean proof of absence when it comes to God? And yet when we're presented with remnants of actual physical change in the history of plants and animals anatomical structure, i.e. the vestigial legs in whales and snakes, that's still not proof?

The oceans come to the shore so far because there's X amount of water on the planet. Oh and let's not forget a little something we call the moon, which controls the tides. But melt the polar ice caps and we'll see how much farther the ocean will go up the shore.

Did you know there was once a shallow ocean going up the middle of North American continent back during the Cretaceous Period? We know this because we've found fossils of the fish and sea creatures that lived there in the middle of plain dirt.

So Darwin recanted. So what? A lot of brilliant minds were worried about their world changing beliefs. I'm sure Einstein once thought his theories were stupid. But Einstein turned out to be as much a lover of mankind as was of science.

BTW, astronomy has long since become advanced enough that we can confidently make measurements and observations of what's going on around us and see that all the galaxies are moving away from a relatively central point. Physics states that a body in motion tends to stay in motion. That's proof enough of a Big Bang to me.
