oh and the advice i would give is the same for any company. don't be late and keep an open communication with your dispatcher. let them know what's going on and they will most likely work with you.

Dont Melton go into canada every third load or so?Do the lease operaters work on forced board?I thought there rigs even had canada spreads and slide trailer spread for canada. What is the driver compensation for crossing boarder? This always was the issue why I never applied there.

let me first off say, i have no idea why they would put him into a lease truck knowing that he was 1 ticket away from termination and i really think that is poor judgment on the company's part. other than that they were the best company that my husband has worked for in the past 6 years.
i do not know if they go into canada or not. i know my husband cannot go to canada because of a misdemanor or something. -
They can't be to bad. They sent me a Christmas card in the mail and I have never worked for them or applied to work for them. -
i know they sent my father in law a father's day card and sent me a birthday card. so they are family oriented, at least in my experience

I drove for Melton. Its not a bad outfit but like any company out here. They have there pros and cons. There tarp pay is $50 a load and I have yet to find anyone to match that. They are big on logs and safety. Esp if your in the yard. Don't get caught without your hardhat and glasses on. They will shut you down for 24hrs. But for the most part, they are a family oriented company and will work with you.
