I know I'm a day late and a dollar short, but you must like staying in pretty fancy hotels. If you plan your trip right you can stay in a cheap hotel. I'm not saying a $20 a night place, but like a $45 and up just to get a good nights sleep.

First of all, it's against policy to sleep in New Trucks and if you bailed on a load, that's on you. And you said it... "If you plan your trip right you can stay in a cheap hotel". You should have asked what kind of truck it is first, you think?

Sleeping in new trucks is against company policy. Nuff said about that. Claims... are one big downfall for this company. I believe it is a way the supplement their gross income. A dealer will submit a claim for an item let's say a small chip in the windshield. The dealer submits an price of $210 for the windshield and that is what they get paid. You get charged $253 and they won't even tell you why. They just take it from your escrow and you have no recourse. When you ask for the return of the parts that have been replaced. They never come. TM handled the money part and gets their cut, but wants nothing to do with helping you get what's right.

If contractors fill out the inspection report completely, this would not happen. As a rule, I've always wrote up all the glass, chrome and rims as scratched, scuffed, or chipped even when it wasn't...Just to cover myself. ;)

P.S. FYI...Hotels.com is a great way to save on rooms.

Fill it out completely? What about that scratch or dent that gets put on the truck after its turned over to a TM hub and sits in their lot for an extended amount of time. After awhile it starts to get annoying when they open up a claim and your name is on the list of responsible parties. And I'm talking 3 months and more after completion of the load. Most of the time it was decided that I was not responsible for damages and was not charged. It won't happen you say. But just wait. They will get you. And how about the thieves. It's kind of hard to explain why wheels and tires are missing. You might be in on it? Right. They don't trust anyone. And why should they? Drivers have scammed them in the past and will in the future. Anyway, it's nice to see TM is still in business, don't get me wrong here, I'm a fan.

Ok, you have obviously had things charged to you that wasn't your fault and I know how screwed up that can be but if you have a copy of the original bills the customer or depot rep signed and taking pics of the truck(s) you delivered, you could have appealed the charges. And if that didn't work and you are a OOIDA member, you could have filed your own counter claim against them.

If there is anything I've learned from the last 12 years in this biz, it's to cover your rear in ever way and when in doubt, get the #### out!

When in doubt and you get screwed by a mega carrier. Find a mom and pop carrier they look for good drivers that don't have dui Or accidents and are reasonable.

I'm working for a small mom & pop outfit that treats us way better than the corporates treat their drivers
