hello, yes. i can honestly say that i have enjoyed the piggy-back side of truck deliveries, i also undeck them, which pays even more. the ( hub-side) which is just drop off pays less, then the drive-aways, which are single trucks pay even less and are more challenging. soooo, depends on what you wanna do. just ask the right question of the one you choose. then depends on where you live also.

arn466 You are correct, it is right in the company policy, but alot of drivers do it anyway, they better hope they don't get checked at a scale for that motel receipt

Do you know anything about the IT bus plant in Tulsa? You seem to have a more rational, informed view. TM is advertising in craigslist for drivers and I was going to apply until I read some of the comments about the driveaway industry. I've been pulling a tanker for the last 8 yrs and worked every day they had work to do. Any info would be appreciated, either on here or to <profeshnltourst@yahoo.com> Thanks and Happy New year.

I've been a passport/deck driver here at TM for a year.means I can take piggyback loads into Canada, as well as LOWER 48. If you have any questions about that, I can try and answer. As for the moronic gibberish that goes on here about who ownes what and who's getting screwed. I don't care. TM handles singles and used trucks as well. I'm a new deck driver that can give you straight answers. There are lots of happy drivers here. If there weren't, TM wouldn't be in business and growing.

Well it has been a while since I last posted on this forum. Some will not like what I say and others will applaud; but that is what the forum is a free exchange of ideas and thoughts for other members to review and comment on. Here it goes, I have been on the used deck side for about a year now and I have had my ups and downs with the company. I have made some mistakes and they have cost me financially. I will say however that Truckmovers has always listened to my concerns and addressed them. some to my satisfaction- others not so much. I make an excellent living here. The one thing about being an independent contractor is you have to think for yourself. realizing that the decisions I make affect my pay. This is not a job for everyone. It is hard work decking and undecking trucks.
also this is the dirtiest job to boot. My schedule is my own and I like that. I have found some good friends here and we talk almost every week on the phone not to complain but to share ideas on how to do the job better. I have rambled enough for this time but I will be back to read what others have to say and post some more drivel on this thread. Suffice to say - I love my job
