The department of employment gave you a paper where they found in favor of you. Go to Hireright.com and look for the dispute form and download it , fill it out but spell check and make sure you proof read the thing enclose that copy from the DOE and send it in. Those bottom feeders will have to make it right! OR get a GOOD lawyer and sic his arse on them!

Their equipment is junk. I ran a >600K '03 KW T800 with a flattop box sleeper for seven months. When it broke down on me 5 times in a month, I raised hell and was issued a used Transport America truck--underpowered and overgeared. (On the day I quit, the throttle sensor went out.) :biggrin_25512:

And they can't decide whether they're air or pump--some trucks are one, some are the other, and there's a few bisexual trucks. And they have some used trailers that can only be pumped off by 10 trucks in the fleet--DAMHIK. :biggrin_2552:

If you want to get home and you don't live in DM, good luck with that--their speech about how they 'care about your home time' is a lie. I was trying to get home on Sunday night, and they tried sticking me with a load to BC Canada with a Friday morning delivery. I live in Arizona. Anyone want to tell me how I could have gotten home on time in a 64mph truck? Once I went :biggrin_25516:, they switched me out with a guy in SLC. The trailer I received froze up a landing leg so bad they had to cut it off. Then, once I got to the customer, I sat for two and a half days...then had to get the trailer washed out, then had to get the landing legs replaced, and then I finally got home. (Admittedly, the customer had a hand in this, but this isn't the first time they jacked me on my home time--just the worst.) Their payroll is absolutely Byzantine, and you won't get miles if you don't run outlaw.

I'll admit, they're nice folks, to a point. I never had any abusive behavior like many other companies give you. And Leon's a good guy. Really. Problem is, his company has gone to absolute crap. I didn't mind tanker driving as such, but I'll never go back there without serious changes in their equipment and operations.

your 100% correct penguin people are nice at johnsrud but the fact that dispatch has the drivers running illigally all the time and the saftey director is blind to it, he's to worried about getting to the casino in des moines. they are really screwing the mileage drivers some of those guys have been with johnsrud a long time and are making peanuts. they hire new drivers and pay them hourly 17.00 - 19.00 an hour for all logged hours worked thats about $60,000 to 65,000 a year and i bet some of those guys that have been there 20-30 years are not making anything close to that. than all detention time is paid at your hourly wage where as the mileage drivers get like 10.00 an hr for detention. those drivers should be throwing a fit cause thats just plain wrong.

Most of what's been said is true but at least they [Johnsrud Tramsport] ARE nice people and family operated so you get a little KY and a kiss while you are being screwed, which by the way is more than you get from the rest of the industry. The story about not having time to go from Des Moines, Ia to Willard, Oh is wrong. A third of that trip is thru Illinois where you'd better be glad you can only go 64 mph. You load at 11am, leave DsM at 1pm and you. got 10 hrs drive time to Willard [about 500 mls]. You take your break at 11pm and tell dispatch you won't unload til 9am so you get your full 10. You are at the receiver on time so there's no problem. These guys aren't bottom feeders. We should be careful about our labels or we make them meaningless. The Canada situation which you [Caddilac Jack] happened, (I was told) because you DIDN'T stay in Canada and take your break, but crossed into the states, and THEN turned in a toll receipt for reimbursement. Meanwhile logging it as though you DID stay in Canada. I'd have eaten that toll receipt. You left the company no choice. Let's get the facts straight.

I would like to take this time to set the record straight back in april 2010 I posted some comments about Johnsrud transport that were made at a time when I was mad at myself for getting terminated and was blaming everyone but myself. Johnsrud Transport insist that their drivers run legally and I was warned a few times about running over on hours and the company had no choice but to let me go. The company from the owner down have nothing but the safty of their drivers in mind insisting that drivers run legal. The company will bend over backwards to help drivers out with any problems they may have, it truly has a family atmosphere at Johnsrud and the company really dose care about the safety of their drivers. I would like to apologize to Johnsrud Transport for any misleading statements I have made in the past.
