CR England

I was there--made it through there training(?)-some great trainers and some who should have been fired long ago (ANDY).
Got out after the training was complete- you would have to be blind or a state senator not to hear and see what was going on in that place....

So, that's all?
C.R. England is a "lil impersonal"?
Hmmmmmmm
That's putting it mildly.

What did they do with the people on the left?

you dont get your way by yelling
How 'bout if they're yelling GET AWAY?

you work up the chain
Are you telling me that C.R. England is like a chain gang?

and understand that the world wont stop just for you
From what I've been reading, C.R. England HAS stopped a LOT of people's world financially.
Quote:
keep your door shut
You mean like the C.R. England office folks? They keep THEIR doors shut to the drivers.

stay out of the terminal
Armed guards are a good incentive to do just that.

You mean like C.R.E. rolls their drivers?

I'll bet C.R. England throws some pretty good parties.

BTW, I'm curious --- how long did you work for C.R. England, and why don't you still work there?

Congratulations?
I'll bet being employed takes a load off your mind. I wish you success, JB. And I hope you'll continue to post here and tell us how you're doing. You might be the first person who'll report how to actually succeed at C.R. England.

OH!
If you happen to run into GrandmaDebi and/or Virgil tell 'em we're worried about them and are wondering how their lease is going. They haven't checked in for quite a while.
GrandmaDebi had such a positive, up-beat attitude it's not likely she failed at C.R. England's lease program like most others do.
If by chance she did, she's probably working in the recruiting department now. If you can get through the metal detector I'd appreciate it if you'd check on her wellbeing.
Thanx.

Hmmm. Words that point downhill: "I don't know"....You have to learn everything about a lease before jumping in. "I don't know" or "I'm not sure" means you've not done your homework and are setting yourself up for a reaming. Who else is gonna watch out for you if you don't? Your company?

So from what I've read on CRE's site, you can get some of it back: "14 cents variable mileage payment (1 cent paid back as truck financing fund. May be reduced as much as 8 cents through awards program)". All in all, it's a large sum to loose ... considering your pay is .90CPM. There's another thread on here where I did a breakdown of the CRE Lease at 2000, 2500 and 3250 miles per week. At 2000 mpw, after all is said and done, you're making around 12cpm ... at least in the initial part of the lease where you're paying into your 10k truck maintenance rsv, etc.

My formula uses an AVERAGE truck payment of 459 (Like CRE's web site). So, running legal the best you could do is 10.87hrs # 60mph which is approx 3250 miles. You'll make 21cpm for a gross income of 2665.23/mo BEFORE taxes. After taxes, it's anyones guess depending on many factors. If you're working 10 hrs / day, 5 days / week, 2665.23/mo is about $13/hr. But you're only DRIVING 10hrs/day ... don't forget about waiting for loads/unloads/etc. Really, when all is said and done, it's probably closer to 9-10/hr.

I have to make an image of the spreadsheet and I'll post it.

Pay attention

I did not sign a lease, my husband did and I would guess he knows what the VMP is for. I am a truckers wife NOT a trucker. So to answer your question "is your outfit your babysitter" does not really apply. Not sure if you are having a bad day or if you are just rude but it is not necessary. I go by what my husband tells me. I did not hear CR Englands version of the lease program or what everything was for because I am not the driver, I am the drivers wife and I am home taking care of our family. I am not in the truck or part of the company, he is. Please do me favor the next time you want to make a call on my intelligence and read the entire thread not just the end of it.

Variable Mileage Payment

I do know that with the new awards program the Variable Mileage Payment can be reduced. My husband has actually already reduced his a bit. (I hear other companies also have VMP, it is just not as high as Englands.) After he has dropped all that he is allowed he will be down to a .06 VMP which will be great, but it will take a little time since the points for the awards program are given monthly and it takes more than 1 month of perfect points to be able to drop 1 cent. You can also lower down-payment on purchasing a truck and other stuff but I only have knowledge of lowering the VMP since that is what is affecting us currently.

BTW just to update still going good. Finally have everything back on track and so I am sure something is going to happen soon. Keep your fingers crossed for us though. We need all the help we can get with this company!!
