Thanks, but no thanks. It's been interesting, but my time is valuable, and enough time has been wasted between you and I. If any more clouds are introduced into this thread, it may start raining.

Whatever your circumstance is, I wish you the best of luck.

Just to update, Crete accepted me as well as Gordon and May. I am going with Crete on December 26.

As far as your misrepresntation of the facts in this thread as well as outright calling me a liar I will accept your apology but I doubt you will offer it. Makes you wonder as to why traffic and return visits to to this forum no where comes close to the other truck forums when moderators participate in threads in such a antagonistic way.

first off they tell you just what you want to hear so you will work for them well dont they all do that?? And like most companies they say there turn over rate is lower then any other company!!! well that is not true they lost 40+ driver in one week!!! why? no freight = no miles you get between
1600 and 2600 miles a week!!!! well with the cost of things today for me with a family that is not enough further on most every load you are forced to do a restart on your log book meaning once you deliver your load you do not get your next load till about 24 to 30 hours have past!!!! when you ask were your load out of there is your osl that is what they call a DM
all you get is there is no freight or freight is slow or my best one is they are working on it!!! well you ask nicely for a load then ya beg for a load and after a while you have to get mean and complain!!! the farther east and south they send you the worst it gets!!!! this is a cold hearted fact!!!
dont idle your truck over 10 percent you will have to pay for the fuel oh and that is at the highest pump price!!!! they also say they are the truckers company bull crap you know the runny stuff that comes squrting out of a bull haulers trailer!!!!! try to get help when the check engine light come on they say take it to the dealer when you go on your home time!!!
get a fix it tickit at a dot inspection you best fix it your self!!!!! same as the check engine light!!! it took 2 weeks to get a exhaust manifold gasket
replaced and that is after you scrape the dot sticker off the windshield and tell them you will ask for an inspection the next time you go over a super coop!!!!! then when you get totaly mad and want no more of them
and tell them to send you home so you can turn there truck in they send you to one of there terminals and then tell you to turn there truck in there
and tell you to get your own way home!!!!!!! that is the GODS HONEST TRUTH!!!!!!!! so get home first before you tell them to take a hike!!
i know also for a fact that they have lost alot of there customers and are about to lose a few more!!!! and as for any bounus pay you are ALWAYS short of the milage limit they do there best to keep you below that mark
as for there lease to own trucks beware there maintenance of there trucks is very bad 4 to 6 thousand miles over the scheduled milage before they do the pm on the trucks and they are all b services!!!!
i have seen comanies cut corners short change on your payroll but may trucking take the cake on all fronts they do have some drivers that have been with them a long time and they keep them moving and making money
so they will put out a good word for driver out there on the road but dont all trucking companies have guy like that????
yes you can say it sounds like this guy is mad at this company!!
to tell you the truth yes i am i am very mad at may trucking but i do not need to lie to state the truth six days to do a 2600 mile run you do the math!!!!thanks to this company i am looking at a bankrupty that is the fact you will be looking at if you have a family to support if you work for may trucking!!! i could keep going on but the truth is i feel post this thread is a waist of my time but you all need to know most of the driver that i know that have left may trucking wish they could forget that they even worked for them you will not like this comany they are worse the CrEngland and Swift!!!!!!!!!!
GOOD LUCK TO YA

Re: May Trucking, Inc. - Salem, Or.

I worked for May last year and never had a problem with them. When my truck needed service or repair it was done quickly and right. When the repair was done they would come get me and have me inspect it and made sure it was that I was happy with the repair. I was never lied to about milage they said I would start out a certin CPM and that is what I got. I had all the miles I wanted,I never sat to wait for a load usualy when I was about a day out they would send me another load. If I needed to resset my hours they never pushed me about it. The OSL that I had was awsome she would get me home on time always asked about my little girl. She was truly genuine and honest with me. When I quit I gave a two week notice and they got me by the house and I cleaned out my truck and took the truck back to the Layton,Ut yard. They asked my how I was getting home? I told them that I rented a car to drive home.(I live 8 hours from Layton) I told them that I thought It was my responsibly to get my self home. They then asked me how I was getting to the rental place I said that it was only two blocks up from the yard and that I was going to walk. They said that they would give me a ride. Then the terminal manager offered to pay for half of the car rental. I told her no that waas fine I had already taken care of it. The reason I quit had nothing to do with the company themselves I was given the chance to spend more time with my little girl So I took it and ran with it. They told me that If I ever wanted to come back to work for them that they would b more than happy to have me back they have sent me several letters since asking if I was ready to come back. I have told them no because I have even more time with my little girl. I am a firm beliver in YOU GET OUT WHAT U PUT IN! If u gunna piss and moan and complain yes then they will black ball you and make u sit and wait and give you crapy loads

Re: May Trucking, Inc. - Salem, Or.

So what is the REAL story about May Trucking? The only reason I am asking is because they are about the only company in the Pensacola, FLA. area that has a terminal nearby & will hire someone with minimum experience. I wonder why they chose little old P'cola as a city to have a terminal in. Every one of their other terminals is either in ID, UT, or OR. You would think they would choose a place like Houston, Atl. or Birmingham for their terminal in the south/southeast region. Since I went to CDL school in Illinois 2 years ago, I don't know anything about them. From their website it sounds like the training pay is better than most(500$), after training they start you out at .32cpm(which isn't bad compared to most other companies). I wasn't crazy about their home time (1 day off for 7 out). I have just come to accept the fact that all these recruiters & websites are either not telling us the truth or exagerating at best. These forums & websites seem to be the most accurate & helpful. From this thread I am getting mixed reviews.

May Trucking

may trucking will tell you everything you want to here!!!!!!!
then once they get you into one of there trucks you are doomed!!!!!
if you get to to being over 50 hours of driving in 5 days they set you up for a forced layover to do a restart!!!!!! You can ask any one who works for them!!!! if they say they dont do that to them then they are lieing!!!!!!! i finally found a good company to work for and have talked to a few of there drivers that say they have been forced to do restarts when they get over 50 hours of driving in 5 days and then when you ask for a load all they will tell you is THEY ARE WORKING ON IT OR FREIGHT IS SHORT IN YOUR AREA!!!!!!!!!!! THERE PAYETTE terminal is the worst
none of there drivers they have been based out of that one does not want to be based out of it no more!!!!!!!! may has it's own DIRTY tricks that it does to its drivers to cover there own butts but mostly they keep your miles below 2500 a week but if you like to run or need the money and need to do 3500+ a week you WILL NOT GET IT AT MAY TRUCKING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
