I contracted with dart for 4 years. It use to be really good. But about 2 yrs ago everything changed. They got a new terminal manager/dispatcher name james. He came from UPS so he tries to run Dart like he' s dealing with company drivers. They advertise that there's no force dispatch. But thats a joke. They force u to take loads around the city of houston san antonio, dallas, laredo and u go to these places 200 to 250 miles out and then they tell u they have nothing for u to come back. They only pay 80 cents per mile.If u run the city its even worst bcuz they make u take loads that cometimes take 5hrs to do and these loads only pay 80 to 100.The hundred is if u live load and live unload. They hire drivers everyday.U get hire and u may only pick up mty trailer for a few days. That only pays 40.The dispatcher are so unprofessional. There a latin guy who controls all the loads i dont have to tell u who gets the best loads. And there an old grumpy lady that well i dont know what she is there for.I sat under a broke trailer for 8 yrs at the pilot in baytown and could not get them to pay me i fussed and fussed with them and never got paid.See video at youtube seach dart transit.:biggrin_25523::biggrin_25510:

He is obviously a very patient person. There is absolutely no way I'd quietly sit under a trailer for 8yrs. without complaining a little. You'd think the pilot mgmt. would've complained about his presence after all of that time.

So let me get this straight, you had an empty and was headed to pickup a load at Wal-Mart and the empty you were using had two tires go flat enroute? You noticed this when you stopped at the Pilot. So you dropped the empty at the Pilot and bobtailed to the yard to get another empty and then went to pickup the WM load right?

Then after you picked it up you took the load to a secure lot and dropped it after being told to go back to sit and wait for road service to fix the trailer that needed repair and they won't pay you for babysitting their busted equipment until it got fixed?

They expect a lease op or owner op to wait for free? Is that what happened or am I misunderstanding something? EDIT: After watching it again I think it was the WM load that had the flats? Couldn't really hear what the FM was saying. Either way they should have paid you for having to wait from what I understand or given you another load and had another driver take it on after it was fixed.

The TM does seem like he has an attitude maybe you give him hell all the time lol? They do seem to try to weasel out of paying what they say they'll pay. I caught hell getting layover pay a few times and finally went over my DM's head and got it paid by the TM and they didn't treat me that way and I was a friggin' company man (Swifty)! Seems they make more money on loads with you guys so you'd think they would treat you a little better.

Let me explain I was at the pilot where i notice one of the legs on the trailer was on the ground the FM told me i should drag it to the yard.I knew that wasnt safe.So I dropped it at the pilot.I live here and park my truck and trailer there everynight. So I leave trailer and go get an empty becuz its 730am and walmart load must b pick up by 900am.So dart wont be charged a late and bcuz i was dedicated to this run everyday.I went out of my way to hustle and be on time.So i get the load at 855am deliver it to drop yard.Come in to talk to them and this is what they said.We are not going to pay u breakdown pay.The other guy Joe threatens me and says and I quote"Dont worry bout going get trailer i will just cancel ur contract and put on ur dac u abandon trailer".So i go to this guy in video He s the terminal manager. And u c how he reacts this guy has been at Dart for two years and still doesnt know how to dispatch. Its ashame that unprofessional people like this can go from trucking company to trucking company and destroy drivers trust in that company. We have even witness one of the dispatcher scanning paper in drivers lounge on the flying j scanner. Now tell me why would a dispatcher do such a thing. It sound fishy to me:biggrin_25516:
