Thumbs down Wilson Trucking Corporation - Fishersville, Va.

I worked for this company for 19& 1/2 years. I went and had oral surgery on a Friday the following Tues I had a random drug & breath test done. The dentist gave me a mouth wash to use 3 times a day which little did I know had 11.6% alcohol in it. In the mean time I blew a .019 and was Fired that morning. DOT regulation is .04. When I worked for Wilson I thought I would retired with them guess I was wrong. Almost 20 yrs tossed to the curb. I have been looking for another trucking job and no luck. I am going to request my DAC to see what is in there. Had perfect record, pass all drug test and breath test worked everyday for 19 1/2 yrs. I guess being a good dedicated employee does not pay off.

Holy crap man, that B/S. Not that you would want to, but couldnt you fight them on it? But seeing as how much they care for there employees, I doubt you would want to waste your energy on them.

Re: Wilson Trucking

He failed the breatalizer. The company is required to fire him and it is probably company policy as well.

Since you worked there for 19.5 years they must be a pretty good outfit. You can fight this, if you can prove your side. Your dentist should be able to back you up.

With 19.5 years experience you are aware that there are certain medicines you can't take and show up ready to work. You also know to read the lables for contents, drowsyness etc.

Sorry driver, but nobodies fault but your own.

If you are talking about Wilson out of Fisherville, Va, I could tell you better stories than you just told.

You live in Va.? I know a good lawyer over in Charlottesville.

You do whatever you feel like doing, but I would certainly drag their butts into court.

Re: Wilson Trucking

Hey it did not cause drowiness. I ask the dentist not to give me anything that would cost me my job. When I called the lab they had nothing on this matter. My dentist and cvs also faxed the information to HR and the HR manager told me to call the lab and the Doctor had no information on me.

Re: Wilson Trucking

I know men, or knew men(most are dead now) that were fired for less than you were. You should have been around when the Teamsters tried to organize Wilson.

I was using drowsyness as an example. Nothing on the bottle explains alchohol content? How 'bout the piece of paper that came with it?

I do think you can fight this, and the company may be using this to cheat you out of your retirement. I'd start at the employment office and go see a lawyer.

Re: Wilson Trucking

I have tried to fight this. Waiting for my DAC report to see what they put in it.
