Seeing as I am a recruiter, maybe I should call em up and see what they're offering....In my experience, i've talked to many Stevens (and now ex-Stevens) drivers who get a lot of what is seen in this thread. Maybe I oughta make calls to ALL of em....I do still have in my posession a TracFone, which I can simply throw away on a whim.

I meant All of the other big co's (Swift, USA, PAM, Schneider)

And as for us, The more I read into the 118 page thread, a lot of it is banter from Craig's multiple aliases, and a lot about the general OTR job. I think I said in another thread where the managers came right out and told us to start looking for drivers for Intermodal.

driving a Choo Choo would be cool, not having to mess with cars that is unless you run over one and then its not your fault. Get to see some pretty scenery I bet.

I have yet to take the Assessment Test (More or less a reading test to make sure I can speak english) at their location in Kansas City MO.

But hell yes, If I drive a Choo-Choo, You'd better not "Stall" on the tracks. I've already seen film and video of what it does to United Van Lines trailers and J.B. Hunt Trailers. For Now, i am still a recruiter.

Thumbs up

I took a reading assessment test for UP RR a while back. It was a joke. If you couldn't pass you need to be back in 3rd grade. You won't have any trouble at all. Of course you are in Arkansas where Hillary took care of education system.

WHAT DOES (EMERGENCY BRAKE) MEAN?

A. Throttle 8
B. Your Mom
C. Stop the train in case of emergency
D. None of the Above.

EDIT: I'm originally from Illinois. Where Gov. Ryan took care of us REEEAAAAL good, so long as he gets his 40% cut. You'll find that a lot of the JBHT Recruiters are really from places Not around here.
