Run away from this company i drove for them nothing but bad things to say. And you pay for everything. when you go on a company yard and there is 60 or 70 trucks just sitting there with no drivers in them it might say something about the company.:biggrin_25513::biggrin_25513::biggrin_25513::biggrin_25513:

i had the same trainer troubles at usa Truck. My one trainer was just a total #######, and totally unprofessional. after a week we were about to get in a fist fight. I called my training leazion, and she said, tough, just deal with it.

Then after i screamed in his face, and almost beat him up, i called again, and told her to get me a new trainer or i was going to another company. Then she finally did something, and switched me to a new trainer.

You just have to be persistant. and don't let them push you around.

Hahahhaha! Well I will tell ya this - Something sounds fishy here. If you are in contact with safety and you are just doing things as you see fit then your gonna have issues. If your in contact with them and they know whats happening then you will not have the problems you are explaning.
A job with Stevens is NO different than any other company out there. Werner, Swift, TMC, W/S ect.... it works well for some people and it does not for others. There are 100's of others out there looking for drivers. If your a decient driver you will not have a problem. If your not happy with Stevens...... Then leave!!! My god you bunch of winny babys!! Be happy you have a job!! I guess if you need to suport your family then you will do what ever it takes!

yea, maybe some of it is being whiny, but i'm not gonna let a trainer treat me like crap.
Belittle me, make em feel stupid for doing a minor thing wrong.
There is no need for that, just be a professional.
This is not marine boot camp or anything.

How long is a training period at Stevens? Just stick it out till you have your own truck, simple. The egos of new drivers gets 1/2 of them fired. Most of the negative posts on here you would think were made by 13 year olds. Grow up and grow a pair.

Is that all Stevens looks for is just decent drivers, not professional drivers?

    Sorry, you are absolutely wrong.
Repairs are done very quickly, and Stevens pays me if I'm down more than two days. If it's a safety issue, it goes to the top of the list.

As for the idling issue? If your friend had called Safety, they would have told him to idle and paid the citation. They did that for me. But he has to call ahead of time.

I don't know what truckers you're talking with that say Stevens is the worst, but I'll bet I can find plenty that say, Swift, Werner, Rhoel, Schneider and more "are the worst."

I've been around the block, so I can speak from experience.
Stevens is a good company that backs it's drivers if the driver follows the rules.

Nope. They will take any warm body.

The warm bodies without a brain are filtered out, the remaining warm bodies that have a brain but don't know how to use it will quit. Then you are left with a selection of drivers ranging from OK to professional like any other company.

Ha ha ok I will play your word game! Call them what you want, safe, reliable, professional, good, decient what ever you want. Every company has it's own method for training and own ways of running a business. If it does not work for you then just move on! No big deal. Do you think they have total control of how there trainers are when they leave the yard? Thats like saying you have total control of your teenage kid when ever they leave the house. No way you can control every moev a person makes. Come on grow up! If it is so easy maybe you should just start your own company and do it! Think of how rich and prosperious you would be, being the perfict company to work for!! Everyone would love you and ......well you should be president!!! Just sayin.:yes2557:
