Dont work for Gardner Trucking out of California

They have to have nice new equipment , or all those shippers they run cardboard dedicated out of would throw them out.

 

It is funny you should say all this stuff about Gardner and you still work for them, I don't brown nose anybody and I have a new truck, Maybe if you treated the truck like you owned them and work harder you would make more money..... My guess is you wreck trucks or your just not that great of a driver or a great worker... I don't know who you are but I make good money here and I clean my truck and proud to drive for Gardner... The owners always treat me well and always take care of me.... I wish you luck finding a new Job and if your not happy here you should move on....

I spoke with a Gardner driver based out of Manteca, CA. He was delivering cardboard to where I work. Said he's been with the company for 3+ years and gets hourly pay, had nothing nice to say about running the double flatbeds, also mentioned if a better opportunity came up he would take it. He seems content though. He brought up how the pay is low and the company doesn't care about the employee. The equipment looks nice and well maintained, I've also found that moving Gardner trailers to the doors and back to the yard to be a pleasure, doors always open and close easy!

The thing I liked about his feedback is the fact he didn't bash the company. Unfortunately, I think I'll remain a hostler and heed the warnings. I miss driving but I'm doing fine where I am at.
