Ive worked for Gardner for nearly a year now as a line driver, and you don't make diddily squat for a pay check, I barely take home a little over 500 bucks a week. Thats what youll make because you get paid by the load. Also theyll have you sit around for hours waiting for a load, and then they want you to pick it up with only an hour or 2 left on your work time.
If you get hired and they put you on Double Flat beds, forget about doing anything else because theyre gonna keep you there.
No Holiday pay, for any holiday.
The only decent thing I can say about them is they have Decent equipment and you have the weekends off.

California has one eighth the US population, and a lot more than that of the nations welfare costs.

No dead head miles, no brake down pay, hardly any waiting time pay.
There was a driver working for Gardner that had 3 accidents in 1 years time, his final accident from what Ive heard was he fell asleep at the wheel and fliped the truck over 3 times.
Luckily he didnt kill anyone and he survived witout a scratch, which is a suprise from the pictures of the wreck that I saw I'm suprised he walked away.
Most people would think by the 2nd accident to get rid of the guy, but no they kept him on.
Gardner does paperlogs so guess what that means? -
gardner all so has a proplem with mangment (anger) towards there drivers, shop, dispatchers. The company will not answer there emails when they send a driver a bill for working for them, Mr. tom Lanting ownes a shadey company

I worked for them as a sub-contractor back in early 90's, there pay was always different from what they would quote you and they would tell you we will take care of it, never happen. Dispatch was a joke, I can't remember his name but it was one of the middle sons, not Tom, his the oldest and not the youngest, I think his name was Brad, not sure though, anyways , he was the biggest joke for a dispatcher, I only did a few loads with them and ran like hell afterwards.

BTW , are they still hauling hay ?
