I drove for them for 6 months but had my license before. But 2 of my Co drivers talked to them and made arrangwements of like $50 per week to pay off. BUt it was worked out Before they quit.

See how your treated once your cents per mile goes up from the 1962 era wages they're currently hosing you with to the (very) slightly above poverty level wages you'll be increased to.... :biggrin_25525:

They will hit your credit report, they will hit your DAC. Other companies will see you as a person that quits at the drop of a hat. You can walk away from it tomorrow but be prepared for the consequencies and don't whine on here that you can't get hired. Stay put and talk to your manager/dispatcher constructively. Take it as a lesson learned, file it away..

Yes, I broke the contract for the same reason. I stood around at headquarters for two weeks waiting on a trainer then went on a ride to california, then came back to Cedar Rapids, IA. By that time, I am into my 3 rd week, they paid me only for the miles driven at .22 cents which was not much. I got a job paying .38 cents a mile in Chicago. I went up there and started driving. CRST sent the company a threatening letter that they were going to Sue the company if they continued to let me drive. I called CRST to find out what the payoff would be, it was half of the amount originally agreed upon. So I borrowed the money and sent it to them. They would not send a receipt , they stated that it was in the contract what would happen. They were rude about it all the way. They send emails all the time wanting drivers. Telling about all the great deals. After dealing with them on this issue and the rudeness, I would be homeless before I went to work for them.

OK...heres the deal..CRST has you under contract as they do me. I found out that if you quit or are terminated for due cause, they can get the full amount of the schools tuition even if it happened one day before your contract is fulfilled ( i have one month left)..I was terminated for my F/Ms mistake..and when i asked HR about paying off the remaining balance they told me that its not prorated...well it took me over a week to get things sorted out with them and they reinstated my employment. But that entire time I was applying with other companies, and all of them said the same thing of they cant touch me because i was still under contract with CRST even though i was terminated without due cause..(CRST v JB Hunt: 9th curcuit court) (CRST v Werner : Ca. FAC)
