Re: crst bad company

Just one small question here that has me puzzled. If they are this bad, why are you using their name as part of your login. That doesn't seem to make a whole heck of a lot of sense.

By the way, you'll have to provide a lot more details than one sentence before people here will consider condemning the company. Prove your case, and we'll back you 100%.

A red flag?

Is this a red flag? I'd call it a yellow flag. Burky is right, though. You'll have to provide some hard evidence before a lot of us will starting thinking that "CRST definitely sucks".

So the "S" in C.R.S.T. stands for "Swift", then

CRST sounds just like ol' Swifty. I had the same problems with Moyes & Co. over ten years ago that you describe in your post today.

Re: crst bad company

Well, I don't know what CRST06 went through, but I just started with CRST, they put me through the worst possible CDL school around, then took every advantage possible. Thye first thing I found out was that while CRST would "pay" for my tuition, and that it would be "free" for me; I would have to pay for transportation, fees incurred in testing, meals provided and lodging at the school. This is taken out at a rate of $50 a week.
I'm told by some of the older drivers that it used to be hard for a new driver to get their home time, but I haven't had that problem. The only thing I've found out is that CRST takes that $50 a week whether I work or not.
Furthermore, whi8le I would normally get paid around .30 cents a mile, I'm being paid .22 cents, which they calim is to pay for my tuition. I could have sworn that was supposed to be free.
As for not getting paid. I had to go after them for my last week of over the road training pay.
They have managed to stick us with some pretty snotty trucks. The first was leaking diesel. We took it to the shop, and they put us on a load to OK (from PA) with heavy time constraints, kno9wing that the truck was in the shop. Then it turned out, halfway there, that they didn't actually fix the problem.
They let us change trucks in OK, while giving us a load that required us to travel at 53mph. We had to change trucks AFTEr getting the load, and it turned out the new truck has starter problems, and battery problems, just to name a few.
I'm so happy with this company, I could just ************.
Dave

Re: crst bad company

Im sure everyone or most people have started with this company and just by the look of the obvious things wrong with CRST, should know its a POS company. ************ pay, Exp. driver that solo (if they're lucky enough to ever GET to solo) get paid .22cpm. The trcuks are slow 64mph tops, the trailers dont work half the time, the tires blow cause their worn down to the nub and the landing gear is rusted most of the time. AND YOUR STUCK IN A *******(foul language is not allowed, deleted by luvmyhubby) CLOSET FOR OVER A MONTH WITH A DUDE YOU DONT EVEN KNOW. Tell me, is this what you want to deal with every day?

consider this (burkey???), i used that particular name as my loggin because some people like to use something they can remember easy by.. is that sufficient enough for your troubled mind??? no disrespect, thats something i can remember.

here is some anwswers for you:
one: low miles
two: dont pay on time....you have to call just to make shure you get your money
three: they are the lowest paying company (start rate 22 cents)
four: slow trucks
five: any truck you get whould have approx 430,000 miles on it and you have mechanical issues with it, thus having down time=less money
enough issues said, i could keep naming more, but ill stop for now.
