It was a long 2 yr battle wih Jason and sueing him.Hes a very stubborn guy and tried every avenue to get the judge to drop this case. But he and Washington DC declined his request.A day before the trial was to begin Jason settled out of court. He didn't want his company to get smeared and was afraid the law would find more dirt on his company. He knew he wouldn't win this one I had too much evidence against him.

Niiccee patty I thought those trail date take to long.

When a company does me wrong and does nothing to resolve it,I have no problem sueing them.I gave Jason plenty of chances,3 yrs worth.I have talked and talked to him got better responses from the wall.
Grouch Thanks this. -
Nniiccee he was wise enough to accept the settlement I think they could've locked him up if you expose him in vourt. I remember in FFE they was telling us about how 1 of the owners got locked up for running they drivers over there hours I forgot what company they said it was

My goal was to shut him down. While still employed there and sitting in a dock I did call a gentleman who is the head of Iowa DOT he took all my complaints and did investigate and sent me a letter stating that all of what I said was true or something of that sort and will be taking action. So maybe hes the one that told Jason to get recorders.

#### you was only a voice away from shutting his operation down permanently patty im sure you had a lot of anger towards him etc im surprise you just didn't drop the bomb. But he paid for it either way

I was very angry when boss fires me at the receiver then dumps me at the nearest motel 12 miles away in the dead of Winter very cold and Windy that day.The staff at that motel couldn't have been any nicer, they fed me breakfast and was going to let me stay there the night for free they also gave my dog a hardy breakfast. But they found a friend that picked me up and took me to go rent a car and they kept an eye on all my stuff that was outside in the snow while I went to go get the car.So yes I was out for revenge.I could care less about sueing him for money I wanted him shut down permanately.

Sorry for the delay patty didn't get no email of a response. That's crazy but them people watching over you was a blessing & your dog. I also must say I found this article just now completely interesting

Good morning, what happened with this driver in the article is far from uncommon in the trucking biz even with all the new laws.As long as something doesn't get done about those companies right away rather then waiting yrs for the case to surface its going to continue to happen.Drivers risk losing their jobs every day if they don't be their special robot.Companies /dispatchers and their bosses are very demanding and will not take no for an answer without consequences to follow.Sad it has to be that way.Drivers are just making a living to pay bills and support their families then you get companies like this that says if you don't run illegal you won't make any money and they'll find someone else to take the load.Thats such a bunch of bull crap. Many drivers are running legal and making good money. But there are companies that do make drivers sit and then when they get a load they are ecspected to get it there no matter what and will threaten your job if you don't.Companies also tell drivers how to log and you must log their way or lose your job.Been thru that a dozen times.Thats when it gets real ugly between dispatch and me.Even the log and safety dept at some companies are a joke.Only way to beat companies is at their own game or seek legal action. It doesn't do any good to try and get things resolved at your company because it just won't happen. They soon forget your issue once you're done talking.
