| yes, but realize you're talking to someone who's workplace address is 615 JB Hunt Corporate Drive in Lowell AR, 72745 |

| I drove for JB Hunt back in 1992-1993. It was ragged cabovers with no radios. The runs I got were all low miles. Some places would make me wait all day to get loaded, or unloaded. I never received any detention pay. JB Hunt does not pay layover on weekends. SO every Fri. night or Sat. morning I would get routed into a JB Hunt facility, and there I would sit all weekend for free. Late Sun. night, or early Mon. morning they would send me somewhere. I only had a couple decent weeks with 2500-3000 miles. Some were as low as 900-1200 for an entire week. From what I read on these trucking forums, it sounds like it is still pretty much the norm, maybe a little better equipment. I ended up driving concrete mixers for several years after that. Here in Houston it is year around work. I work in aircraft maintenance now for the Tx. Air Guard. I don't think I would ever try OTR again, as I had such a sour experiance in it. It sounds like most of these other outfits are pretty much the same as JB Hunt, just the name and the truck colors are different. |

| Well, I can't vouch for what we did in 92, I wasn't working for them yet.. And no, to answer another thing you said, WE DON'T HAVE ANY CABOVERS ANYMORE. |
| |||
| The only way I would even remotely consider employment with JB Hunt, or any OTR outfit, is a written contract that would guarantee me $1000 per week. If you can't do that, forget it. |
| ||||
| That's what I'd do as well Yeap, I'd have to insist on a guaranteed minimum income before going to work at a company like JB JobHunt. 750 would be fair, but 1000 would definitely be nice. Going with JobHunt would be too risky not to ask for such a guarantee, as I may find myself out of work again within a few months time if I (foolishly) go to work there. JobHunt lives down to its reputation far too often for me to take the risk blindly, and considering how expensive changing jobs is, I would want to be compensated for that risk. Hey, I'm just demanding what a good capitalist like "the Donald" would demand.

Capitalist? and you wear the Hammer and Sickle in your avatar? please... I would reply to that little "Guarantee" but it would come out sounding too much like an advertisement for the mods liking. Either that or you'd run and tug on their sleeves to throw me out, right? |
| |||
| I don't think they'll meet your need for a guarantee since you don't have a CDL. Kind of need to cover the basics before you start making any monetary demands. But, you could become a recruiter. You wouldn;t have to have a CDL for that work.... |

| JB Hunt isn't the company to start driving for. Just my opinion.

| I will be getting back into the Trucking end of things Next Year. I am SOOO Glad and Thankful for these Forums!!! I would have Talked with J.B. Hunt for Sure! I have Probably been Saved From a NIGHTMARE!
