While we are on the subject, When someone comes onto this site, and they attempt the same "mind screwing" tactics, like what has been a part of this subject and various threads involving JB Hunt, anyone has permission to take them on. Just keep it clean, to the point, and keep it on topic as much as possible. I agree with Portlanddriver wholeheartedly for banning him, and in fact didn't realize that he had already been banned when I responded to him. I don't mind any recruiter who wants to come in here and defend whatever or to discuss anything under the sun, but the minute he admitted he had actively used this site to recruit someone, that was it. It's not going to happen. If there is someone who actually had contact with this guy, understand I do not know what transpired between the two of you, and I will in no way offer that what you were told is the truth or not, but, if you took a job at JB Hunt, and you are going for it, I wish you the best of luck, hope it will be everything you think it is, but I implore you to read this section of the site for insight on what many people have offered about them. For sure you will find questionable posts. Some will however, be concise, to the point, and will offer things about that company that you cannot overlook. I am personally going to offer that JB Hunt has some specific and oft repeated complaints against them, and don't take my word for them. Look them up yourself. Seek out other forums on the web and balance that with what can be found on this one. Google 'em. The complaints are out there. Among the most common COMPANY DRIVER complaints, you will find;
For those considering entering into their Lease/Purchase plans, you will find the following complaints;
JB Hunt may be the best thing since buttered bread for some people. But then, if they are not offering a position that you are seeking, don't you deserve the right to know the issues that cause many people to shun them, and to leave them? |

| Re: JB Hunt Dang I missed the Me_at_JB debate! He really needs to come back to earth with the rest of the world. But I guess once a recuiter always a recuiter. Even here he was still reading from his script. Turbo and the rest have said it all. My husband and I lived JB's nightmare and have the settlement sheets to prove it. |

Please don't tell us that JB Hunt secretly runs this forum, and has access to the personal information of the members. That would be the only reason to find any humor in the negitive posts concerning JB Hunt, Come on, out with the secret, we want to laugh also |

| Re: JB Hunt The ONLY thing that JB Hunt runs, is a poor excuse for a trucking company. WiseOne...the owner of this site, had his own negative experience with that company, and I assure you, there is no love lost between himself and JB Hunt Transport Services, Inc. What we have been dealing with, is a poorly planned and executed attempt to diffuse some of the negative comments that are found in this section of the forums, by certain employees of that company, claimed or otherwise. This last one fell into the "otherwise" category. He was nothing he claimed to be. He most certainly did not directly work for JB Hunt, and the evidence is in his posts. Hint: look at how he described the method of compensation he received, and under what circumstances he receives such compensation. Hint #2: Be wary of certain websites out there that claim to have hundreds of companies that will be viewing your application, and that offer you the "choice" of submitting them to the companies that you only desire to send your application to. Everything is not as it appears. |

| Re: JB Hunt Mind you, I have no proof of it, but I will bet that the people on the end of those sites, like the gentleman that last graced this thread to defend JB Hunt, will completely disregard the wishes of people who submit information to those sites, and will actively attempt to recruit for the companies that will pay them more per head. As I stated, when I was looking around at the end of last year, I submitted an online application to the same site you probably did, and specifically DE-SELECTED JB Hunt, and yet, that was the ONLY "company" that called me. They are slick too. Those headhunters will pretend that they work for the JB Hunt, and when you express an interest, they will hand you over to someone in Lowell, Arkansas to set you up for orientation. I know good and well that they had not had time to do a cursory check of my background. We're talking about 48 hours after I submitted the application online. When I pulled hard on those reins and hollered, "Woah!!", telling them that I was merely interested at this point, and that I was nowhere near ready to commit to taking a position with them, then the hard sell approach ensued. I was told that if I didn't agree to be set up for orientation now, it might be three weeks or more before they could get me in. I said..."no problem." "I'm not in any hurry." Three days later, I have a woman on the phone wanting to confirm my mailing address, in order to assure that the airplane ticket would get there on time. They had me set to be there the first of the next week. I made it clear to her that I had not committed to any job, and secondly, that I do not fly, and if and when I decided to come on board, that I would drive my own vehicle to the orienation site. Then gentleman number one calls back and feigns complete ignorance about the fact that I had not agreed to take any job. Hard sell tactics began again. I made it clear to him that I was hardly new to the industry, and that I was also not desperate for a job. I would let HIM know when I was ready to sign on. In thre meantime, the original caller from the headhunting site is bugging me a couple of times a day, and the recruiting department from Lowell, is calling at least one time a day. It was ridiculous. After a week of fooling around with what became four different people, I finally sent an e-mail to my original contact, making it crystal clear that I was not interested in a position at this time, and to please pass this on down to those that needed to know, and to PLEASE quit calling my home several times a day. The calls ebbed, but did not stop completely. In a two week period, I logged 62 phone calls from numbers related to JB Hunt, and they were not all Arkansas prefixes. I still do not know who was who, nor what their true association was with JB Hunt. What I do know, is that my online application NEVER made it to the parties I had selected for it to be sent to. I called the three companies, and they had never heard of me, and had no idea why the site in question would have been forwarding any applications to them. They all stated that they had no working agreement with the site, or for that matter, anyone outside of their own offices. It was an eye opening experience, and I seriously doubt that I will be checking in with with those headhunting sites in the future. |

| I lve in Central Florida and have seen the 50 or so JB Trucks sitting at the Circuit City Terminal just waiting and as a new guy trying to get a drivers job with a 20 year CDL it make me wonder why are these trucks just sitting collecting dust. I did see the 500 driver recruit notice also and I am lookin at getting on with Averitt Express as a Regional Driver. I ahve applied to at least dozen companies recently and was told by a few you must live at least 50 miles from the terminal, I actually live 60 miles so that tells me that don't want my 20 CDL with no points, No DUI, NO Felonies. This is very depressing for a person who loves to drive ( I know I must be sick to love to Drive) Newbee 45 |
