Central transport sales people use unfair selling tacticst to get customers. I had a very negative experience when I shipped 6 Ice Cream Freezers to one of my customers. When he received the units, two of them where totally curshed. I took pictures and file my claim. After follwoing up with Central Transport for several months I finally got their judgment telling me that the claim was denied due to the fact that freezers are consider machinery and they only paid .10 per pound. The freezer weight was 177 each and therefore due to the fact that it was so low, they did not feel they could pay the $ 35.00 they felt the units were worth. Central Transport has a Scam in denying claims. I will never ever ship with them again nor will recomend their transportation services. Other Trucking companies we use have always paid their claims.

Go around them and file a claim directly with their insuarance company. While your claim will probably be below Central's deductable by doing so you put the insurance company on notice that in your estimation Central was not careful with your freight and may not be careful with other, possibly more valuable freight.

Central Transport the ltl carrier. I am betting the freezers were damaged while being cross docked.
