What the heck would he be driving at 3am? Must have been lost.
obviously, you don't drive a truck, otherwise, you would know that trucks are driven 24 hours per day, its not an 8 to 5 job..........he must have been going someplace, like his pick up point, or delivery..... and then wanting to get some sleep before the place opens up.....or, it may be open 24 hours per day....?? again, if you were a real driver, you wouldn't have said what you said....................

That is why the companies have you fill out all that medical and medication information.
again, spoken like an uneducated person who doesn't drive for a living...

a person can "develope" a medical emergency at any time, place, with no warning. heck, he could have been going into a "diabetic shock", meaning that he was a diabetic and didn't know it since he probably passed his last DOT physical, especially, if that DOT physical was some time ago. a person can become "diabetic" at any time, there are no time frames for this disease to pop-up.

he could have also been having a stroke, or even a brain anyurism(sp?).

again, severe medical problems/conditions can arise without warnings.....

i was right.................from your profile:

Occupation: Home Improvement
Interests: Driving

you don't know jack about truck driving, maybe you should not put your 2¢ worth of comments in............................

I have exp too!

look Dude, I have 1.5 years of experience under my belt and have more then a 3rd grade education too. I finished high school, did you? You may have more experience but I have worked this industry too.

Most companies would questioned why he was doing # 3AM. I know freakin' trucks run 24-7. I also know that truck has to STOP for 10-hour sleeper break.

I think Weiner has electronic logs?

After reading the story, it sounded like there was nothing wrong with him until he got out of his truck and tried to fight the police.
He attempted to back into a patrol car, this sounds a little fishy. I mean I know some of you guy's can back a truck pretty good.

Sounds like he might have tried to back up to go a different direction, and the reporter had to make it more dramatic.
I would say maybe the adrinelin (<--spelling) rush might have gave him a heart attack.

As for driving at 3:00 AM, even with Werner haveing electronic logs this means nothing he probably had a pick-up or delivery to make.
Just because Werner runs electronic logs doesn't mean they still don't have early morning pick-ups and delivery's.

good for you, as i only have 18 years now...........

uh, yeah, 12 years high school, 2 years technical schooling, 8 weeks tractor-trailer driving classes, and a former truck driving instructor.........

Quote:
You may have more experience but I have worked this industry too.
that's the definitive response from you, have worked

Quote:
Most companies would questioned why he was doing # 3AM.
no they wouldn't, he's on His schedule, not the dispatchers or company's, so they wouldn't question the hours he's on the road.........

Quote:
I know freakin' trucks run 24-7.
i'm glad you "know" something..............but what else do you "know"??

Quote:
I also know that truck has to STOP for 10-hour sleeper break.
this makes at least 2 things you "know" now.

Quote:
I think Weiner has electronic logs?
yes they do, now you "know" at least 3 things now, not much else, to have said what you said in the very begining...........

you claimed to "have had" 1.5 years of driving experience, but now you're into "home improvement" as per your profile.............why did you leave the industry........?? couldn't handle the driving past your bedtime...........???

once again, unless you know all you can know about something, then don't say anything, at least not as stupid as your response was to his driving at 3 AM...............

i drive from 2:45 AM till about 2:30 pm daily..........so, what's your point about driving at 3 AM...........????

you made absolutely NO SENSE in your posting................

Kind of sucks ‘pro1driver’ when your panties are wadded up in a ball.

You’re probably that “bully” truck driver or “super” driver. One who gripes about everything and cries when he doesn’t get his way. You must have been a Weiner driver once before because you know way to MUCH!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm going back to driving, As I'm going to make a good choice of companies and not work for such a worthless company like werner. That company has drivers that do the tyical 'hit and run' and 'run' other trucks and cars off the road, this is true and I've have seen it.

nope, i'm not "super", nor a "bully", just more intellegent than you seem to be making a "stupid" remark/posting, like you did, regarding driving at 3 am..........

i gripe no more than the average truck driver, oh yeah, you're into home improvements, not driving..............

nope, never had any interest in driving a weinee mobile........

again, you're talking nonsense here, especially about the "hit and run", and "running other trucks off the roads".................
you may have "seen it", but what did you really "see"...........??

i think you are as full of BULLSHIOT as anyone can be in your statements.
i do wish you well though, driving a garbage truck seems about right for you, or maybe one of those "portable potty service trucks", instead. obviously, you "see" things, but can't deferentiate between company policies and driver mistakes, when you "see" them................
