my b/f just got picked up by a trainer today and is on his way to parts unknown...i tried to tell him to look into other companies but due to a lack of work history, werner took him...now i dont know when i will see him again. ......so im wondering what you mean by WHEN you get burned, NOT IF? please let me know as i am real curious so maybe i can look forward to him coming home sometime in the not so distant future.

As I am on the phone with my b/f, who has been driving for Werner (too dam long) he says he will be home within a couple months. Coming from the g/f of a guy who drives for Werner, urge your b/f to find something local. It pays better and he will be home more.

If you ask me, Werner SUX!!!

thanks for the reply to my post...it's safe to say my b/f so far is enjoying his training along with his trainer...says he's real cool and they seem to be getting along well...so far none of the things posted by others has happened to him yet, but my gut instinct tells me at some point things will get a little harder for him and not seem to be as rosey and bright as they are now.
we tried like crazy to find a local job for him but because of a gap in his work history he was not able to get work anywhere else and as luck would have it, werner hired him...someone told me that werner hires the losers who can't get work anywhere else, and of course my b/f mentioned it to the recruiter who called to let him know his application was approved...for all i know this could turn out to be a good or not so good thing for him, who knows? all i know is now my whole life has been turned upside down b/c of his leaving and as to where i am angst 99% of the time, he's running around out there not really caring about how bad i feel...unfortunately things tend to affect me alot worse than they affect him...crying to him about things goes in one ear and out the other...of course he's a man, so why expect more than he is capable of giving? sucks for me i guess...men!

when you say IF NOT WHEN, what do you mean? and why does werner have a long record for ruining careers?
of all the posts i've read here about the bad rep werner has my b/f still went with them, and is currently with a trainer...he seems to like it and sees nothing wrong with anything...i want to be one step ahead of him, so i'm in the know....please reply back letting me know what your experience was and what the above means....thank you in advance.

You have good and caring eyes! My b/f and I talked and he admitted he had to do something. Well he is. He is talking to this place very soon about this other trucking job. You seem like the same type of person I am. Yoyu worry and you do have the right to. He will listen, give him tiime. I had to give mine a year but now the time has come! YEAAAAAAAA. So you hold on. I read all these posts to mine over the phone and he hates it for he knows Werner does not give a dam about their drivers. They only care about the drivers that will kiss a--. Know what I mean?

You take care of yourself and be strong like I had to be and still am for him.

that's right, i am a liar, eventhough the only thing i haul is Anheuser Busch, and i do drive for Werner, and it is also a 48 state account, it depends on where you live, i live in Indianapolis, so i am able to be on that account, if you're from somewhere like, Armpit, Georgia or somewhere it is harder to get for hometime, then yes your babydaddy is not able to get on the account. And no, i am not a kiss ###, i am just 100% ontime and a productive driver heh.

I felt compelled to interject here. I hear a little unnecessary hostility ordinaryguy.

I did not see anywhere that someone stated you were a kiss@##, so maybe you might be feeling a little guilty about something. Even though living along certain transport lanes does affect your hometime calling someone's area (armpit) is completely uncalled for. You may be feeling inadequate because of your own living conditions but don't down on someone else that you do not know. I hear alot of undertone in your statement that is not necessary to go into at this time. I would just ask that respect others as you would like to be respected.

We are all here to talk and express our experiences good and bad about the industry, for support and information.
