You are wrong! There are good companies out there. There are also drivers making good money as well. Maybe not 100K but better than 20 - 30k. Some people love to drive. Why not be paid for it? You sound pissed. Why is that?

Have you taken the time to read the posts on here about swift? I don't think you have, otherwise you would have not asked the question you did. Do your research on them and others. Hopefully you will come to a better conclusion.

The last few weeks have been bad all around, it is not only limited to Werner, for instance I am personal friends with a PTL driver whom was stuck for 5 days in TX with no load. Does this mean PTL sucks? No. We sat a few times these last 3 weeks as well, and I know for a fact we are not the only company that had such issues. This is a slow time for trucking, anyone whom is in it can vouch that the winter and fall months are ALWAYS slow and with the money issues people are facing, more so this year.

Actually I did some local work driving a mixer truck for awhile and the ancient MAC I drove had no A/C, a 2-stick Tran, and Heat that couldnt warm anything if it tried and it rattled like crazy but will give the thing credit for this much once you get the hang of it then its pretty easy to drive.

There are "Whistle Blower" laws in this country. If what you are saying is true you are in a very strong position to have your DAC cleared and in all likely hood entitle to back wages and such. It would be in your best interest to call your local District Attorneys office to get details. Don't sit back and let them do this to you. You must be proactive in this or it will haunt you for years to come.

Best of Luck and Get on the Phone

You can contact department of labor for the wistle blowers number as it is illegal for them to fire you over reporting them for hauling hazmat without a permit.

You will be able to sue your prior employer for firing you for that reason as long as the firing happened just right after the report.

If any one tells you are in a right to work state do not belive that bs as it does not apply to this case keep pressing the issue.

Are you aware that there are whistle-blower laws that make it
illegal for an employer to fire an employee for, well, ..... blowing the
    whistle?

You might be entitled to monetary compensation and your job back, .......
    if you want it.
At least YOU'LL get the last laugh.

If I were you, I'd be checking what your former employer put on your
DAC record. Who knows, he might be charged with defamation of character
and/or filing a false report, and you'd be entitled to punitive damages.

    Big Duker Thanks this.

Not true I think it is a case by case basis that they do this with. I was fired from a trucking job and they took me but mine had nothing to do with whistle blower situations or anything.

Gee, ....... I wonder why Werner would be afraid to hire a
    whistle blower? :biggrin_2552: :biggrin_2554:
