lj if you would like the miles Marten is not a bad company and 2 weeks out here is not a very long time either

As I have seen the greater majority of the anti posts for any company are based on what I like to call 'fish tales' I haven't met many a driver whom has been able to refrain from blatant exaggeration on their exploits and this extends to their company hate posts. Hell I really rarely find a driver that doesn't readily have some complaint about their company. The one they have driven for 6 years, whom they will readily tell you 50000 things horrible about how they are so and so far away from doing some ballsy screwing move to the drivers, or about to be sold off or so on... or how they totally don't get miles, or how they NEVER get home but yet they STILL work there.
Says something eh?
Most of these hate stories have to be taken with a grain of salt.luvtheroad Thanks this. -
I know what you mean IROC...they whine and complain about miles, and whatnot, yet they still drive for them...like i said, Sheep.

Well i find it hard to believe that ANY truck driver would bend the truth or "exaggerate" at all. I thought all the super truckers really did drive 2000 miles aday, and every single sob story was completely the companies fault.

I think everyone has something bad to say where they work, just some want everyone to know and some just keep to themselfs. I don't like somethings at Werner but most of the complaints i have have to do with areas that don't hurt my job or pocket book. Instead of comeing here with my complaints, i let the right people know at Werner. Most of what i don't like has to do with SDM's and the Training department as a whole. I never get in a shouting match with anybody at Werner, i have a great talk with them almost all the time. I also write the proper people with ideas not telling them what to do but give them some ideas from a drivers eye. Iam takeing a little break from training right now and whats funny, i read on hear all the time about drivers for Werner that have had there miles cut and have to be trainers to make money. I have to do a restart on hours because i ran out of hours in 6 and a half days, 3900 miles as a solo. even the guy i work for hates me, i have more miles then him, and he has a student. But i never call dispatch, i always type to them. If there is no loads, i don't sit there and send mac26 ever hour bugging them. My boss calls all the time and complains to dispatch and he sits way more then me. I think what alot of Werner drivers forget to tell everyone here how they bug dispatch and forget little things like, mac40, unload/load begun, or mac15 delayed on delivery due to(reason) and mac7, updated eta, i do that one 2 times a day and almost everytime have a preassign before i drop of the load iam under. The one person i do call is the J.T. guys, let them know if things are going to be tight, they always thank me and tell me they wish the rest of the drivers put more effort into there job.
I have one thing to tell the complainers, 15-20 years with Werner or new, look at yourself in a mirror and say,,,, EFFORTluvtheroad Thanks this. -

Not a attack on you man, just most of the people that whine. I know things don't work out for everybody here and there are issues with Werner, and most companys at that matter. But i just know that most of the people on the forums here that complain about Werner don't tell all. Sounds like you gave it your best and things just did not work out. Goodluck with your future job.luvtheroad Thanks this. -
You really don't want to be sending in availability macros in more than once a day or else you are put back at the bottom of the list. >FiFo<
Until you have run FD or DG hand unloads you really can't complain about someone who has. -
