    Werner didn't do too bad by my hubby when he was there. The key to getting a decent pay check to be sure you turn in every single receipt for things you have gotten advances to pay for, turning your trip stuff in on time, and not taking too many advances.

    He did turn in his paperwork. He understands how the system works. This isn't the first time. We have to watch each check to make sure all his miles are being paid. We can't pay our bills not knowing if he's going to get his full pay or not. And to have to fight to get paid - is Werner bankrupt?

    @Jolsen - that's not a Werner truck. It's a nice truck. You're an independent trucker.

    i was with water wagon 14 months,i left and went to martin.what a difference,still the same old b. s. but also so much better.i would have gone somewhere better but werner butchered up my record and i live in san diego,ca.my options are limited due to this.i rcently got terminated due to a incident where i hit some ice and slid into the median and kept it under controlled in the median till it stopped.i am now job less and have a worse record now.no damage done,no injury,no police report just a towfee to get out of the mud/snow.but it happened in the first 27 days of my 30 day trial period.maybe this industry is nt for me? i showered almost every day and all the werner drivers on the road its your own fault u are still there .move on when you can.peace,love,rubberduckee

    not all drivers will fail at werner,they do have some good paying dedicated routes and some newbees get em.the other 95% get@%$##*.or maybe the hometime is good for them cause they live in a good area. when i was there i saw 10 or 20 yr employees getn the same b.s. as us newbees and thats not right.maybee some drivers are too stupid to know.

    ok 1 his day time dispatcher is paid buy what his drivers turn. The only ones who get paid salry are night and weekend dispatch.
    2 trips are paid when the load delivers or that friday if omaha has the trip evelope by tuesday noon.. if not its the next week. here is the kicker. if the load is dropped in a yard or handed to another driver and he does not deliver it till the following week then the trip is paid... but not till it is delivered

    Thanks everyone for your responses. I've learned some things I didn't know and appreciate it. I want you truck drivers to know that I really have a lot of respect for you. Until "you walk in someone elses shoes" you don't really know much about the work they do. Being a truck driver isn't easy. You have to love the road to be on it so much and even then it isn't easy. Our situation - we have some decisions to make. You all take care! You're in my prayers!
