Well we know one thing for sure, he sure flunked English class in school. My 8 old nephew can write better than that. Here's the tip of the day: if you want people to take you seriously than make sure that when you write something that's it's actually readable and comprehendible.

He just needs a few Y's added here and there and a few taken away and his postings would be a lot better.

Might I remind those of you picking at spelling:

Now, I know someone who worked for Decker about a year ago. His miles dropped, they lost their pre-pass for whatever reason, and took huge pay cuts to the point that he quit, because he could no longer afford to be out there sitting. I don't know the whole story, but this guy was a die hard trucker. Started with them on a dedicated, and that very soon went away. So there may be those that are very happy there, but some people did take a hit, when the economy tanked. Plus they had just bought brand new petes, so I'm sure that had something to do with the cut in pay.
They do have great equipment, and don't skimp on amenities in the trucks. But not getting any miles, last I knew this guy was only getting about 1200 a week, is going to make drivers upset.Last edited by bullhaulerswife; 03.16.2011 at 12.03 PM.

Thats pretty much word for word on what this guy told us.
I don't know what happened to the dedicated that he had, but overnight, it just disappeared. And I haven't seen a Decker truck in the Hormel yard here for a while. So I'd say if their safety score sucked, that could have lost them some accounts as well.

As far as his spelling goes I believe he went to school with Jethro Bodine. But he dropped out before Jethro graduated from the sixth grade.

Living in the fort dodge area most my life, I would never work for don decker. I know several people that work there , from keith in safety to rick and steve in dispatch..I have never heard nothing good.

Sorry about the Y's comment.
Thought that as many are on here to better themselves with trucking , let it be finding employment , driving hints , mechanical info from pointers by others.
That pointing out the 1 major downfall today , poor spelling would maybe help that person to try and better themselves.
