    I
While they aren't a daily occurence, I have seen enough of the W-900's running in Swifts colors to accept them. They are no where near as common as the Volvo's are, but they are around. Just keep your eyes open, you'll see them running around.

Same here, man. Since you cared enough to return and speak with some degree of honesty, then you deseve an apology from me as well.

If Swift's Albuquerque terminal is really as nice a place to work as you say, then my suggestion would be to enjoy it for as long as it may last. I'm sure there has to be a concern in the back of many peoples' minds that some Swift bigwig may come along and decide that your terminal isn't making enough money, probably because the management there is too good to its' drivers and not pushing them enough. Then, you're back to the same problem.

Mack's right. The gravy train will end soon enough at this terminal. What happens then, Mad? Will we see those big KWs on TruckPaper's site? What about you? Where will you go? It may be hard to find a good company if you live near the Q.

Turbo, here's a quote from your earlier post:

".....if they cared enough, Swift could learn a thing or two by reading what they look like, in the eyes of drivers, in order to clean up their kitchen."

I agree. Swift should take into account their own reputation in the minds of drivers out there. Swift SHOULD care about its drivers.

    But they don't need to.

Jerry Moyes and Swift have been in business since like 1965. Swift knows it doesn't HAVE to make drivers happy. It has a colossal marketing arm to complement its army of lie-spewing recruiters. This, and the fact that only a few newbies ever show up on sites like this to read the warnings about Swift, mean that Jerry Moyes will always have a supply of naive suckers to fill the seats vacated by ex-Swift drivers who've quit recently. This is Swift's only concern really. Filling those seats. And they do a good job of that.

"Lots" of drivers come here and read the warning posts and contribute their own posts. I mean 2000 viewers or posters sounds like a lot, right? Baloney. The number of people who come here and view posts are a drop in a bathtub compared to how many drivers work actively in trucking. Maybe 0.1% of the drivers who NEED to come here and view these posts actually do. If that number climbed to, say, 25% or even 50%, Swift would start "caring" about its drivers real quick.

Yep...I know that, but the word has to start being spread somewhere. We also have to keep in mind that the readers of this site, who don't post, number into probably quadruple the membership, in any given week, and traffic is WAY up since the first of the year.

My sights are set on helping only a handful of people. No one man can save the world. Collectively, as a group, we have for sure had some impact on these horrible companies. To what degree, I don't know.

I'm content if what can be found can help one person, per week, make a wiser decision, or to take enough pause to at least consider what they are doing before it is too late.

TT, that is exactly one thing I don't like about these "types" of sites.

Too many moochers. Not enough contributors.

Folks will come to a place like this, get some good info, and leave nothing for someone else who is coming behind them. If guys are coming here because their companies suck and they're trying to escape, they should at least throw up red flags about those companies, especially if they use the site for their own benefit. I wouldn't want to end up at these people's companies, so I'd appreciate the heads-up.

I think there's a bunch of reasons why this happens. Many people are afraid to post, because they have seen from OTHER sites, the type of responses that they probably don't want to see. I think some people are afraid to post because they think that someone might sue them for expressing their views. Others still, may not be educated enough, in their minds, to post and are afraid that people may make fun of them.

    To anyone thinking any of the above, read my lips;

We don't allow flames. We understand that many drivers are not college educated, and no one will be allowed to poke fun at someone else. And you never have to be afraid to post the truth. If there was a soul that could have been sued ten thousand times over, it would have been me. I've been threatened at least fifty times, three times by Attornies, and in every case I merely responded with the same answer.

"Please....be my guest. Would you like the name of MY Attorney now, or later?" I haven't been served yet.

Perhaps someone at the site could "edit" posts from those that need editing. I know you guys already have enough on your plates to be taking time out to correct somebody's bad English, so maybe this wouldn't work well.

I guess people should be persuaded they can post here and no one will think they are 'stupid', at least in the real way. I was 'stupid' with a lot of the moves I made in trucking, sure. But with me and with everyone else, no one really knows anyone else here, so it's moot. Post away, I say. Screw what others think, as long as one is truthful in his posts.
