A driver can make a good living off short runs. There are 7 days in a week right? If you do 1.5 250 mile runs every day for 7 days there's your 2500 miles right there. Gosh I hate to give away my secrets for free like that lol.

I do my pre-trips, but there are somethings that are just out of my ability to check up on, like potential electrical problems. MOST (not all) of these Volvos are known for having electrical problems, and that is what mine has. Had a regen issue for a couple days, now it seems fine. But the no power concern is a sensor problem. I thought the boost tubes may have been a problem but all checks out fine. The codes are saying "Boost pressure... Low value" and something about a throttle value being out of range. I can't plug in a scan tool every morning and check the vehicle's "brain."
But anyway. I've looked around under the hood for possibly burnt or corroded connections. There IS a sensor on the turbo inlet itself, but that looks like an air intake temp sensor. There is also one on the intake manifold itself, which MAY just be a boost pressure sensor. Is that the problem?? Your guess is as good as mine.,.
Anyway.. I called my DM and they said they put me on a safety hold for some reason and they need me to take a class, but I can't do that out here in the middle of the corn field, so she's working on getting me out of here now.
Swift seems to love putting people on safety holds. This is left over from the log violation that my mentor got me (look in the legal section for the story) and I havent' been anywhere near a terminal to take the class.
Anyway..Texas-Nana Thanks this. -

^ YEah.. I'm over the log violation. I'm not going to say anything about it and just take the slap on the wrist. As soon as I get to a terminal I have to take the one on one log class. No big deal. Shouldn't take long.
I called my DM this morning and just left her a message "Hey this is tractor ######, I've been sitting here in Nebraska for.... well, for a while now.. Call me back when you can. Thanx." She sounded shocked that I've been sitting for so long and told me about the safety hold. She understands that I'm in the middle of a corn field and can't take the log class here. So she said she's gonna get me something to get moving toward a terminal. SO far, I'm getting good vibes from her and I keep her informed as to what is going on, but not so much that I'm bothering her. -
That's good news.

WHAT !?!?!?!?!? i didnt make the list!!!????!?!?!?!?? -

and Scottie....i've said before....give a driver a 500 mile run....and ill take 5-100 mile runs....all comes up to be 500 mi in the book. thats why i dont turn down the 100-200 mi runs...cause they all add up. Say a driver ONLY took 400mi+ runs.....and turned everything else down. That driver will be LUCKY to get 1200-1600 mi in a week. While the driver who takes the 100-200 mi runs...will get a 400-500 mi run here and there...and end up with at MINIMUM 2200. Who is going to have the bigger paycheck? (that is if they get paid close to the same). -
You must be the "unmentioned"

i'm part of the 10%. =) But i'm regional...so i cant send in a macro 30, and really bennifit me. Though, if i ever did lease a truck...i could always take my pick of load with higher miles =)
