| Man-O- Man brother; that sounds like a nightmare......thats great you have removed yourself from a possible danger there. My time is nearing close to go on a training run & I'm shaking in my boots what to expect from whom I might be stuck with as my trainer But I suppose this is the hell" I've seen many swift truck accidents on the highways I travel .....either hitting cows crossing the road or just couldn't make the required turns at an intersection.

| Your REAL training starts when you get your own truck and go solo. Just absorb as much as you can from your trainer. You will be surprised at how much you can learn just by watching. IF you ever have any more questions that's what this board is for. Good luck and be safe out there.

| They don't train you on containers? The railroad is responceable for locking in the container to the chassis.

| Not what I have seen, there are four handles on each corner of the chasis. It's harder to pull the fifth wheel pin then to turn the locks, it's about like a dead bolt on the front door of a house. |

| Swift Transportation Company, Inc. - Phoenix, Az. Swift leaves it's drivers out in the cold LITERALLY. I have an online friend that has been down since 9pm last night in WA with no heat. Battery on truck isn't charging. Team drivers. 20 degrees in truck. FINALLY sent truck to jump them off about 5AM. Want them to go ahead and deliver load even though truck probably won't make it there since it isn't charging the batteries. Do not care about the drivers!I have never driven for Swift and NEVER WILL!

| I started out with Swift and am surprised it has stayed in operation as long as it has...Your post is one more footnote of the decline of this company... |
