In my 11 years over the road I have worked for TMC, Prime, and now CRST. I've been there for over 2 years and my brother-in-law was my codriver. He started as a contract driver and I trained him. If you are not getting miles, then ask to get put on the "quick" list. If you qualify for this list they will preplan 3 or 4 loads out to keep you running. Each dispatcher is given a couple of Quick slots so teams with low miles can get a few more. By the way, I am just going back out after being out on medical leave for 7 months due to brain surgery. They never took me off medical leave even though they could have because the accident happend at home. They also kept my insurance current after I ran out of money. So right now I am feeling pretty darned good about CRST. I do know this though. If you get any kind of bad rep like late on pickup or delivery, it will definitely effect your chances for good loads. And to add to this, freight should start picking up now that we are into March.:biggrin_25519:

I am NO FAN of CRST, they did me dirty, but more than likely, you are sitting because you or your co driver mess around too much and were late on too many loads. thats the usual reason they dock you

Freight changes from month to month. It is a constant struggle to balance profit with driver productivity. When the longer loads are paying good rates and/or they can maintain certain contracts that keep their teams productive, then it's good at companies like CRST, but as the freight changes, they have to be concerned with the bottom line line and sadly sometimes the profits increase as team performance decreases due to shorter hauls (that pay considerably better money). Bad for you good for the truck owners and investors.

CRST is one of those carriers who markets themselves as a coast to coast "expedited" carrier, but they can just as easily transform into a common regional carrier overnight if need be.

Just calm down bro. Have a couple beers with your partner and keep it hush hush. Wait until after 5pm central time, and you know that's it. Everyone in that office goes home.

Some beers, some snacks, then a movie. No tv in the truck? No problem. Have a few, the hit the tv room at the truck stop. Man, I had a blast doin otr brother!

No body like CRST however the reason you not getting any miles it's mostly because you and your trainer been sitting , hanging around to much ya late for pick up and Delivery . I was with CRST me my co-driver never seat for more then two hours unless we were doing the 34 hours reset . Way bfor we delivery let say 50 to 100 miles befor delivery we already have a load waiting for us . All you need to do is show ur FM that you can run and be on time for ur pick up and delivery then u will see . I have nuthing aginc CRST just the pat scale that's all but hey

Nope there a reason why crst was smart and contracted you. You are contracted until the end of your terms on the agreement form. If you leave crst, crat will entitle to charge you the remaining balance to you. And trust me once they do that virtually no company in the USA would hire you. My only suggestion is to stay and live out your contract, then leave once you got a letter from them stating that you balance is 0 to they're school.
    Good luck

Interstate wont hire him unless he finishes the contract. My buddy got denied a few months back. Apparently they aren't in the business of being sued...... Can't blame them!
