i will post to this saying wether or not you dont like a company is partial to who you are talking to but Evans is like any other company. They want to make money but that is were the line is drawn. They have no in charge who has a clue on how to run a trucking business. They have no clue what its like in the truck. They only have on dsp.who has ever drove trk for a LIVING(more than maybe year or 2).They want drivers to do all leg work and when it dont fall as they want its drivers fault. The shop in butler is pathatic.but one in corsaca is good.spent over 40 hrs combine and got a service change thermostat put qualcom supposedly fixed apu but its not working. They do whatever they can to get every dime they can get and that is not paying drivers for things you must keep copys of everything and always keep watch to make sure your getting paid for the extras. Also this why they dont have EZ-Pass and have no plans on getting. The equipment is old but when breaks down must argue to get fixed if even they do fix.

i just read some other posts but forgot this when writing b4.Every1 here knows there is regulations on HOS.How is it that my dsp.cant tell me what the rules are.He knows there is limits but doesnt know or does he care.they told me i need to get on it more because im not doing what they want done.I can only do what i can by Hos regs.If they fell to do there job it makes me even further behind and they always say werent you going anyway.Actually told me that.1st company that has actually said drive illegal flat out not in hidden words.Im still driving for them but when the Lord shows me my new job im gone and youll be able to see the airstream behind me ill be gone so fast. Its said you have people telling you how to do your job and they have no clue how to do your job.

This is Crazy Dave...I am going thru orientation today with Evans and will keep y'all informed as it happens.
So Far, Oscar has lied to me about "NOTHING"...The Equipment was not to impressive, older Internationals so if you are looking for a Big Purty truck, this is not the company for you. I was at the terminal for a few hours last night and EVERYBODY I met were Great. Drivers and Office personnel. Very Relaxed Company. The one down side I was told about however is that they route you and pick your fuel stops. I have been around a long time and do not appreciate being baby sat....This is what another driver was telling me so after today I will know more.
If any of you have followed any of my previous post, you will know I will give a fair and impartial evaluation. All of you know there are some drivers out there that you just cannot please no matter what you do and then again, there are companies that just bring drivers in to use them for all they can get. By the time this is over, you will have my opinion. I have seven different offers on the table so I am not a driver who has to be here, I am a driver that "wants" to be here. So far, I am pleased with my decision..

    Lonesome Thanks this.

Well, I wish you better success than we had but just for your own sake, you might want to keep a lawyer in your back pocket!! When the banks won't even take their checks because insufficient funds, something is definitely not right. You haven't been there long enough to get lied to because your all in the honeymoon phase...give it a couple weeks!

This in only the 2nd day here and you are right....it is a honeymoon. i am quite happy with my choice at this point. I have met 10-20 drivers so far and what is really strange , espically for a company as bad as you say, is the fact that all the drivers are happy!
The Company readily admitts that it did have CSA problems BUT, from the top on down to the dispatchers, everyone is working together to make sure this is a thing of the past. They have now installed electronic logs on 80% of the trucks and are even training the dispatchers to review and utilize your "available hours of service" Does your company go that far or do they ignore your hours and still dispatch you with impossible pick ups and deliveries?
Groovy, You are right, I am in the Honeymoon Phase. I am a old fart and have been out here way to long. I Know we no longer have companies that we use to have but, when I go into a Company and they treat me like a real person, take the time to explain why things are done the way they are and explain in detail what they expect and what you can expect, I hope that Honeymoon last for a long, long time.
