:biggrin_25513: I would honestly have to advise anyone who is considering working for Expedited Freight Systems (Headquarters- Kenosha WI) to not walk but run away from them. At my terminal, which has 12 drivers, it has had 8 fired and 2 quit in just about a year. Even during the orientation they mention being fired for this and being fired for that several times. There is absolutely NO driver respect or appreciation as well as NO job security. The pay is good, about $19 an hour but the benefits are the worst I've ever seen, basically none worth mentioning. All thru your employment, your job is constantly threatened and they do their best to build a case on each driver so they can fire them without having to pay unemployment. I have seen harassment, favoritism and just plain disregard to the driver. No one at my terminal has worked there over 5 years and that includes the manager. Seriously, SWIFT seems like the perfect job compared to them.:biggrin_25523:

I started with a different company a few months ago which showed me more appreciation in my first week than EFS did in the whole time I was there. Even after being let go because of their lies about me, I still talk with employees and see that the wrongful firing is still going on. I am happy I don't work for them. Nothing like going to work each day and wondering if you have a job or not like it was when I was with them.

Sounds like when I worked at Viking before Fed EX took over. They had guys walking around with clipboards writing who knows what. Then the next day the guy who was unloading a truck 2 doors down from you would suddenly disappear and a new guy would show up.

They cared only about 2 things, productivity and claims. And you where on call 7days a week with a beeper. Can't make it in on a hrs notice? see ya. My term mng was a x navy captain and ran that dock like a ship at war.

But they where paying $14 a hr to start in the 80's so most put up with being treated like a slave.

If they warned you in orientation about being fired for this and fired for that, it seems from your post they were up front with how things are. Don't know the company, just going off what you said.

Thanks for the heads-up D-Man, just saw an ad for them, but as with most ads I like to come hear and check on their reputation from a drivers point of view first.

THis company is terrible, they hold your job over your head basically the whole time your work for them and they want you to come to work spread your cheeks and do what they say, no matter how much it dont make sense, no insurance worth even talking about, and they treat you like a DOG, work you like a DOG, just a waste of time no concern for the employee , then when you speak up for yourself, they punish you by not giving you hours, they like to watch you suffer, from not enough hours. Sad, that these people are even in business, and its terrible they can get away with treating people like dirt, KARMA is a beautiful thing because one day it will come back. BASIC POINT: JUST SAY NO TO WORKING FOR THIS PLACE.

Thanks for the info, y'all. I see they're hiring in Lansing now, and was thinking about applying. Looks like I'll be staying away from these guys.

    Agree!
Although I have never been in prison, working at EFS felt like what I imagine prison bring like.
