    Total Quality Logistics (TQL)

Did a load for them out of Dallas to Laredo , First broker told us load will be ready at 3pm then she called back and said it will be ready early send in driver at 11am . Driver got there at 11am they told him turn the reefer on at 25 deg and they will call him ,He called me back at 3pm said they haven't called him and he got idiling ticket .I called her if we getting detention on this she said she will apply for detention with customer .We went back and forth calling her she said customer is aware of this and my driver got loaded at 9pm out of there.Next morning went to Laredo my driver got there at 8am the placed opened at 9am took the papers and told him to wait they will call him. Called her told her he was waiting she said she will call the customer . At 3 pm i called again that my driver still waiting she said she applied for detention with the customer and she will do the best to get us paid for detention if not she will put in some money from her end (i don't know how she was going to do that) just get the times my Driver got empty at 5pm and we missed the load we were picking up from there.Next day i called to send me the confirmation with detention she said she had emailed customer and just waiting for his email. She emailed back the next day that she haven't forget about it she is working on it , I called on 3rd day she told me customer has approved $50.00 for the detention
i was like wtf ,And she told me customer has contract with them that they don't pay detention and that is the best they can do .I told her i would have not delivered the load and got the detention first .And told her to tell the customer to shove that $50 up there ###. I had 100% on time rating with them that's how they treat good carriers . Never trust them get in writing about detention before u haul for them.

So, it was ok with you that you asked your driver to violate DOT hours of service rules? You had him there at 1100, had him messing around until 1500, still up, not a solid break... and who knows what he did before 1100... he got loaded at 2100, departed, and ran through to Laredo (420 miles/7.5-8 hrs), and delivered at 0800?

Not once did you allow him to be compliant, and the driver himself evidently didn't argue about it, but all you're worried about is your detention pay?

I ageee, happens all the time. This company person couldn't give two poops about the driver being on the clock for 20 hours, just the detention time FOR THE COMPANY. We should get dieselbear or scalemaster to look at this.

I had booked a load with them for $700 from Hudson NY (Tolls Rd from Westfield MA) approx 350 miles including deadhead. I was told that they will give the addresses later but first booked load for Saturday. I never got the addreses till 10:30 AM next day. The to pickup was befor 1:PM no directions either he said. At the delivery they told me to come back at 7PM at night. Truck was not released till 1:00AM Sunday morning. Andrew told me that the customer does not want to pay the detention. Yeh exactly WTF, DOT rules do not apply to the big shots?? Here is load for today by Emily She wants to pay $1.5/mile going north from Mobile AL to Allentown PA for $1800. Actual p/u on both towns is wrong.

Yeh its like if you hire a taxi, you put your stuff in the back seat, stop taxi out side a buliding, and go inside and comebck after 5 hours. A charge for the time waited, will be legit or no ???? It costs money to keep truck, road ready and time for which the driver is employed is also important.
