i`m retiring after 30 yrs in the snack food business. I will be attending driving school next month and would like to haul for Love`s, Pilot or KAG, however, does any of these companies hire newbies and train them to their specifications? I drove a step-van, so i do not have any experience at all. thanks!

exit 310 it sounds like you were a "salesman/merchandiser for frito why don't you ask your local traffic center if they will put you in a truck they train from within at the casa grande site I'm sure they will do it at your site to and I know vancouver was hiring recently if that is close to you

I know Gemini has hired at least 1 person right out of driving school but its not something they do very often. I believe if you go their hiring websites they will list their requirements. But even if they do require more experience I would go ahead and apply if your interested. The worst they can say is no thanks.

OK, for the slooooooow people here..........Gemini does not pay for any training and will not pay to send you to school per their lady I spoke to today, buuuuuuuut they will hire you afteeeeeer you have gone through a driving academy-such as Sage driving school-that maybe you paid for, or was paid for by the GI Bill. Now does that make sense?

Unless you'd like your stay here to be a short one, I suggest you word your responses with less snark. We don't take too kindly to that sort of thing here.

    Now does that make sense?

PikesPeak, being condescending won't get you far around here. I can hardly believe they would stick a newbie in a 80,000 lb bomb so I checked out their hiring requirements.

Direct from the Gemini job app website.

It makes sense, and being that we are playing ball on your court with your rules, then that's how we will play.

I have a tendency to get short with people after working in the Criminal Justice field for years, and living with supported facts that stand upon thier own, and having to deal with people with low comprehension rates that have never relied upon stated, and proven facts, to rely upon.

As for the "cut & paste" information listed it's not what I was told via telephone with the person I spoke to from Gemini. They did state they hire out of a school, and not necessarily with 2 years experience.
