A rate agreed by Future Trucking was $3200. to pick up in Blairsville PA and deliver to Pittsburg CA.
It was indicated by our shipper that the receiver would be open.

I myself contacted Future Trucking Tue. morning 12/27 to check on the status of the load, and was told that
it was unable to be delivered. We then made arrangements to have the load redelivered for an additional $500.
that was ok'd by our customer. We were then informed by Mike that we had to pay an Immediate C.O.D.
before the load can be redelivered.

Mike claims that we had poor credit, yet our credit is in good standing, and he apparently checked BEFORE eagerly
accepting, and picking up the load. We have a signed rate confirmation AND Carrier/Broker contract indicating acceptance
of net 30 terms byTony of Future Trucking.

Mike then contacted our customer and proceeded to disparage us, to which my customer then called me to ask
    "what is this carriers problem".

We followed all proper protocol to move our customers load and to fulfill ALL REASONABLE requests in so far to offer a
ComCheck payment to Future Trucking upon receipt of a signed bill of lading, yet "Mike" refused, and unreasonably DEMANDED
payment PRIOR to delivery, which after all actions leading to this point, seems "dicey" at best.

In all We feel this carrier has "hijacked/pirated" this load in order to extort a larger delivery fee knowing that TriBros was 2300
miles away, and seemingly unable to take action.

We are currently discussing contacting FMCSA, California D.O.T., as well as the California Attorney Generals office to
take legal action against Future Trucking, and it's Officers, for unscrupulous and illegal business practices.

He probably realized too late that the load was not profitable. I think you are right, he's trying to extort more money out of the load by pirating it.

He probably blew a tire and needed the extra $500 so he would have a $0 dollar paycheck instead of negative paycheck for that load.

Brokers: live by the sword, die by the sword. Next time books it on JB Hunt. They'll do you right. On the rail from PA to SanBerdo. What do you care?

I don't live by the sword, I keep my profit margin lean in order to get the most I can for my carrier. And as for JB Hunt, your looking for too much for too little

If you think this type of thing doesn't happen when you pay a high rate then you haven't loaded too many trucks.

I've loaded plenty, and have done it for many years, and can honestly say this is the first time I've gotten the bone. It's clowns like Future that give this Industry a poor rep. But I believe in Karma, so it'll work out.
