my fiancee was approved for an otr position by kb transportation on 1-13*2007, keep in mind that he is diabetic, high blood pressure and is on medication for both. from 1-8-07 thru 1-13-07 he was on the phone nearly every day with a recruiter who checked his driving record and his past 10 year work history. my fiancee informed him of his health issues and the recruiter said there was no problem. on 1-14-15 they flew him from houston tx to omaha ne and from there he took a rental car to sioux city iowa. on 1-15-07 when orientation started , they proceeded to work on their personal files, later they went for their physical which he passed and returned ro the terminal. 10 minutes later the recruiter called him into another room and said their insurance would not cover him and they were sending him back home on a bus. they took him to the bus terminal where they dropped him off with no money and no bus ticket. we are not rich by no means and he was flat out lied to and left on his own. drivers, think twice before you consider this company.

Sorry to hear about your problems. I see several of their trucks in my neck of the woods. They deliver to Conagra. I have never spoken to any of their drivers. This is what I have talked about with pre-hires. Does not mean you have a job till you have the keys in your hands. Glad you joined us. Hope things work out for you!

My childhood dream of becoming a truck driver turned into a nightmare!

i too worked for k&b. they done nothing but lied, cheat, and evrything else in between. it all started when i fell asleep and almost hit the retainer wall in ohio where i pulled over and qualcommed them and told them that i had to sleep because i fell asleep and almost wrecked i was waken up at 7am that morning by the ohio state patrol where they took me into custody because my dispatcher reported the load stolen because i wouldn't answer my qualcomm or cell phone. they then issued me a new 2007 that had a tri pac apu on it. i was out in denver colorado 1 week after they received all the snow and come to find out the heater wouldn't work due to high altitudes well that night i asked them for a hotel room which they denied and they told me to get ahold of julie in the morning i did i wa sat thermo king in denver and they couldn't get the part on until the next day because they were getting ready to close i told dispatch that and that i needed to get a hotel room so i can get rested up they said no that i had to be in holcomb ks in the morning well the previous night i only got 2hrs of sleep i left denver at 2100 and got to limon i had to stop because i was tired i got 2 hrs of sleep there but woke up because i was so cold. well i got home and we got a 1/4 to 1/2 inch of ice and i was bobtailing now this is on 1/15/2007 i told them i can't get out of my drive because of the ice i was told if i didn't leave 100.00 would be taken out of my pay. well my road got plowed and i left to go pu said load and go to denver well my heater wasn't hardly working and neither was my defroster i told them about it but got no response, so i froze my ### off again and the apu never got fixed. well they found out that i posted the report about them and they got me up to sioux city and terminated me. when i was up there i was threatned that if i didn't remove the report that i'd never drive again. so do not go to that company.

That is totally screwed up on KB's part. It appears that most of these trucking companies don't care about the health and welfare of drivers and treat them like a number. I am amazed at how many posts I have read where the dispatcher can really treat a driver like a turd in the yard. Maybe management is worried that if a dispatcher is disciplined they will quit and possibly take business away or something? Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap! Most of these guys don't have any worries like freezing ones tail off, since the sit in a nice warm area and go home everyday.

You know...this company seems to draw some of the WORST complaints I have ever seen. I will eventually group them all together, so that people will be able to see them together.

I certainly do not get a favorable opinion of them, and know for a FACT that they do indeed threaten people to have unfavorable posts removed.

No can do....but they are free to respond at any time they wish with their side...

i posted a comment about k&b on here. the first report i filled was on a different website which i wish i could put the link to it on here so people can go and see all the bad stuff people have written about k&b. the other thing about that ripoff company is they want you to get a cell phone but they wont reimburse you for the calls you gotta make into dispatch or to call the customers for directions. they done so much bad stuff that by the time i get done writing all of it i'll be to old. take care everyone and please take my advice. DO NOT GO TO THEM.

I DARE a management stooge from K & B to show up here. He or she won't get far with me at all. Hopefully they'd be smart enough to read the warning in the administrative section. One thing that will not be tolerated here is any coercion or bullying.

I have worked for several companies through the years. Some good. some, not so good. K&B is the ONLY one that I post negative comments about. SAM123456 and her husband should consider themselves lucky to get out of there with only the cost of a bus ticket home.

I have received several emails from this outfit, even though I never applied with them . After about a dozen or so emails, one of their recruiters called me. I said I'm ready to go, just make sure you can get me home every 10-14 days to Tacoma WA. The next thing I heard was the phone line disconnecting. I have received no more emails to my junk folder since.

I guess they would rather have heard "get me home every 10-14 weeks".
